That was one of the Foose subjects that was part of that vote for new tools last year IIRC. It is an interesting custom...too bad Foose went with that blandtasticly dull stock C6 Corvette dash, steering wheel, console, etc though... a custom exterior deserved a custom interior also, IMO..

I may have to get one...I have built a few previous issues of this kit-- the molded in black 'Crusin USA' version and the tan box art mid 80s one, and also an original issue I got in a collection. Always liked the various AMT 40 Ford kits..

I have an MPC '82 Bronco ( never had the Revell one, the MPC one was reissued around 10-12 years ago) and an AMT '93 F150 with this conversion in mind. There is also a resin one out there...

If they did a mid-90s Bronco they could do an OJ version, fit well w/ the Round 2 TV/Movie cars..

Not familiar w/ the Minuteman version, but the '80s MPC release of their '71/73 Mustang (white on the box w/ blue stripes) has a hood scoop that kind of looks like a taller, narrower '69/70 Boss 429 scoop...I can't remember if the later blue & silver release of the MPC kit still has that part...

That's a photo of a Tesla Model S...pretty common around here. The Fisker Karma looked kind of like a 4dr Corvette. Fisker is defunct, they were around for a year or so..the Karma was powered by a Chevy Volt Hybrid powertrain...a new owner is trying to relaunch the company... the Karma and Tesla Model S had the same stylist, I've read. Could have been waiting on stock..sometimes vendors will run short and have to restock before shipping items.

Must be talking about Hobbylinc, which is in Georgia.... Hobby Link Japan says 'Hobby Link Japan' on their site in big letters...about the only time I've had delays with Hobby Link Japan is when Japanese holidays are going on. Also, that isn't 5 business days...only 3 (Fri/Mon/Tues).

I keep the boxes to store the kits in. I also keep the instructions. About the only thing that gets pitched is bags and empty trees.

I saw a sharp black R32 (early 90s vintage) Nissan Skyline 4dr today, first 4dr one I'd seen around here..

I didn't notice metal injector stacks, but there are ones on the chrome tree...

I do see exposure of kids to modeling from relatives as being a positive thing, I got into it as a child because my older brother had built models when he was a kid, and he helped me build them when I was young. I also got interested in a lot of music through him and my older sister. My Dad was into beekeeping and woodworking as hobbies, I never got into those hobbies, but I was aware of them. My peers in school weren't into to modeling that I knew of, Dungeons and Dragons and video games on Ataris, etc were pretty popular...I dabbled in video games, and then computers (first w/ a Commodore 64, that interest led to my college major and my career, but that's another story).

Because? I'm sure the standard 'family-friendly' answer would be 'children are the future', but I really don't care...I don't have kids, don't like kids, couldn't care less about what hobbies they take up...

Yes, the currently available current Japanese kits aren't of models sold in the US.. Japanese kit makers don't make current subjects available in the US 1:1 market, with few exceptions (such as the Tamiya BRZ, Nissan 370Z, Nissan GT-R)

I'm not sure if that one ever was more than a rumor or speculation, don't think it was 'officially' announced by Round 2.

European subjects I'd love to see in 1/24th: vintage subjects: Iso Grifo,'60s Lotus Cortina, '70s Ford Consul GT (as seen in 'The Sweeney'), Mk I Capri, Triumph Stag, '60s-70s Jaguar XJ6, '70s Mercedes 450SEL/6.9, '80s Mercedes 500/560 SEL, 70s Opel Manta. current subjects: Audi A5/S5, A7/S7; BMW M3, M4, M6; Mercedes CLS, S-class coupe AMG, S-class sedan, Sprinter van; Porsche 911, 911 GT3, 911 GT2 RS, Boxster S, Boxster GT4.

Given that they have done Camaro pace cars previously, I'm sure they will do one...either of the '16 snap or regular kit...

Those were the MPC '72s, though.

They do have a new full detail tool ('16 Camaro SS) coming this summer, that is at least a start...

The 60 Plymouth ones have to amongst the tallest also.

It's pretty clear old school print publishing is on the way out. That's been a trend for several years now. The future is digital publications. It's hard to beat the convenience of being able to consume content on any device.

The 65 full size Buicks had an unusual dash design w low mounted gauges. The '66s had a conventional strip speedometer at normal height. The '66 Riviera had a similar design I believe.
