TV/Movie kits usually sell well, so they are a no-brainer for the kit makers...they bring in a lot of casual/non-serious builders...

Not sure why people are making a big deal out of the firewall...it's a hot rod, not a stock version...so obviously, it's going to have modified parts...

Instead of pointless speculation, just wait until it gets closer to release date...I'm sure there will be photos posted of the kit contents then...

Definitely....like the whole 'crazy cat lady' thing...I routinely hear about people found with dozens of cats in their house...dog hoarders also..

My previous next door neighbors were taking them in, and getting them fixed and releasing them...they were also cat hoarders I think. After they moved out, they left 4-5 strays behind.

I know they have them in parts of AZ but never seen one here in Central Phoenix...stray cats are the biggest nuisance animals around my neighborhood.

The one on eBay is from Missing Link. Looks to be based on the Lindberg part but with 2 lights instead of 4. I have one, nice part.

I assume American Satco cancelled their Impala plans when Revellogram released theirs around that time...

Beck Spyders are cool..saw a few at Rennsport Reunion last year. Porsche has always built cars capable of being daily drivers, a buddy of mine in Colorado has had a Boxster as his only car since 2008--driven it all over the country, and even in the winter.

Yeah, but even now those guys seem to be pretty old..at least the ones I've seen at shows tend to have owners that are well north of 65...

A '70s Datsun 620-series pickup would be neat to see...Revell and MPC did them long ago, would be nice to see reissued...

Besides my '87 Mustang GT, my favorite old car that I drove quite a bit was the '84 Mercedes 500SEL. With over 200k miles on it, it was a total money pit, but when it was running well, I loved driving fast out in the desert w/ the huge sunroof open. Classic big 80s styling....still love that shape.

Probably about 75% of my FB friends are people I know in real life, either from the past or present. And other than my sister, my family members that are on FB live about 2000 miles away,so FB is pretty convenient...

I've definitely driven classic cars...'67-68 Cougars, a '68 Camaro SS 396, a '69 Mustang, others... they are definitely a different driving experience, but not something I'd want to live with on a daily basis. My experience with modern cars is they are very reliable...and AAA is always a call away if something breaks down on the road. The biggest thing I dislike about driving older cars (besides the weak brakes by modern standards) is the poor ergonomics...most non-luxury cars of old don't have any steering wheel/column adjustment and very limited seat adjustment. Modern cars are just much easier and more comfortable to live with in the grind...

It is sad about some hobbies...once the core older audience dies off, what will the future of those hobbies be? Or with old cars--who is going to collect brass era cars or 30s classics (the Duesenbergs, etc) in another 10-20 years?

Well, the Amish don't have electricity or indoor plumbing (I assume)...now they are really living in the past, about 300 years ago...

I was joking about the B&W TVs, but I'm sure there are some freaks out there using them w/ rabbit ears to get the Dumont Channel from 1951 or whatever. I like old cars, see them plenty often enough at car shows and events, but I certainly wouldn't want to drive one with any regularity. I like the reliability, safetyand creature comforts (cup holders!) of cars from the 21st century...

'living in the past' are the people that are constantly dissing anything modern, always saying cars or whatever were better in 1960 or whenever, living w/ their B&W tvs etc. The anti-modernity crowd, I've met plenty of them....it's a waste of time to try and reason with them...they are hopeless...people stuck at some particular point in their past (or someone else's past era) that haven't advanced. The irony of it is, alot of them are spewing their drivel on the internet, using modern techology that wasn't available in their ideal era.
