  1. Sad...I was a fan of his from his Indy car days.
  2. Not in cars, though...when did cars first have FM, the 60s?
  3. Got this nice AMT ‘65 Mustang 2+2 promo as a Christmas gift from my sister.
  4. Or for that matter, Ceasar...
  5. I've been on a Christmas movie kick this week, watched Die Hard and Die Hard 2, Office Christmas Party, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas. Going to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation this weekend, probably my favorite--seen it at least 20 times.
  6. When I lived in Denver, a coworker held an annual Festivus party... it was a lot of fun, got a bit rowdy..
  7. Yep, just reruns of oldies..
  8. Had a few inches of snow Monday night, but supposed to be in the 50s for XMas here outside Cleveland. Better than the subzero cold we had last year at this time….
  9. I’ve had that happen…I have two backup Keurigs, an espresso machine, cappuccino machine, and a bean grinder. If all else fails, got McDonalds and a Dunkin nearby…
  10. I hardly ever watch anything with commercials, other than the occasional NFL game or once in while the local news...the ads during the 5pm local news last night were awful, all seemed to be trying to scare retirees to buying additional insurance and such..
  11. No, that’s an AMT snap kit of a similar subject.
  12. Recent pic of Lulu and Jack in my office. They and their sister Lola will be 10 months old the day after Christmas.
  13. I figure they will appear when they appear..whether it is December or Q1 of 2024...I preordered one of each, so I'll be pleasantly surprised when they appear at my door...
  14. I remember having a Sony Walkman in the 80s that had a 'Turbo Bass Boost' button. I think I've seen 'turbo' applied to multi blade shavers. I've even applied it to one of my dogs --Beardsley--a chi-terrier mix that somehow got the nickname Turbo Squid, which I later discovered is a 3D modeling website.
  15. Got another Australian kit—a DDA Holden Monaro GTS.
  16. A couple recent 1/24th diecasts—a Greenlight ‘80 Caprice and a DDA Holden Monaro GTS.
  17. That looks like the Wal-Mart box art from 2006.
  18. They weren't doing new tooling w/ CAD/CAM in the 90s? Still stuck in the 60s? That's crazy...
  19. That was the box art on the Nova from the 1985 reissue...I don't recall the midsize wording on the box...but that generation Nova was actually slightly bigger (longer wheelbase, width and overall length) than the downsized midsize '78-83 Malibu. 2016 was the last reissue of the Nova (Squad Rod version), and 2006 for the Cougar.
  20. Sharp build..I got one of these kits recently, and got the DDA Holden Monaro GTS 4dr today in the mail. Love seeing kits of Australian cars.
  21. Yeah, ‘73-74 body with a ‘68-72 front
  22. I'd assume it's due to the byzantine licensing demands and rules with modern F1..seems to be very little out there other than some pricey 1/43 diecast.
  23. Welcome and Hello also from Ohio (I'm in the Cleveland area).
  24. Yep. They had a few different versions back then but none were 100% stock.
  25. With the boxy fender flares and side pipes, I assume that is the old Revell tooling...I built one as a kid that built stockish looking as far as the hood and rear spoiler, but with the flares and side pipes. This is the one I built:
