  3. Busy day today. Finished my 41 Willys drag pickup. Did some work on adding Viper GTS parts to my Dodge Stealth and, tonight, during a dozen songs, one beer and two stabbings with an Xacto knife I managed to get the flash removed from this resin 68 Chrysler 300. All in all, a productive day! Later-
  4. Thank you Claude, Tom and Larry! Glad you like it and shared your comments. Later-
  5. Thanks. I actually have a front clip. Part of the parts I got off of eBay. May have to do that. Later-
  6. Thanks Sam! We will have to do it again next year. Later-
  7. Thanks. That's not a bad idea! I have a started flatbed I need to get back to work on. Thanks Sam and David! Later-
  8. Just finished up this build. My second completed project for 2021! The story behind this one is a 60's drag racer who ran this pickup for a few years bought a newer (for him) 64 Chevy II from a fellow racer and pulled the 283 he had in this to put in the Chevy II. Later- he sold the fiberglass front clip to another buddy who ran his Willys pickup down the guardrail during a match, tearing up his front end. Now, years later, here sits what is left of his old ride. I used this cab as a test mule for the salt technique because it was a spare (I didn't have a complete kit). Once it turned out as nice as it did, I decided to build it. I found a few more parts for it off of eBay. I also used parts from a Thames Panel kit and scratch built the front suspension and steering linkage. I flattened the front passenger tire a bit for effect. I put some miscellaneous engine bay bolts and plates on the front of the frame to look as if parts had been left behind after disassembly. Minimal decals from my stash were also used. It was a fun build and I now have another for the finished column! Hope you like it. Later-
  9. Just finished this up this morning! Posted in Under Glass Drag. Later-
  10. That is a good idea for some of the more common stuff. Those types of agencies are always looking for donations to help out. PM sent BTW. Later-
  11. Thank you Mark! I appreciate the help. Later-
  12. Does anybody know what kit this clear top comes from? The side pillars (for lack of a better term) has a texture to it. The part definitely needs a good sanding and polishing. Later-
  13. Hadn't seen this one yet. I'm glad I stopped by to check it out. Your work is fantastic and the paint and color are beautiful! Can't wait to see this one finished. Later-
  14. Had a guy at work bring these two kits to me. The 612 is complete and unstarted and the Monte Carlo has been started but will make a good parts kit. Later-
  15. That looks great so far. It looks like a "fun" decal job.... Can't wait to see this progress. Later-
  16. Very nice build Tom. Beautiful paint and I like the wood floor. It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to doing this again soon. Later-
  17. Thanks! I like the way it looked too. Here is where it is at now that I sprayed the topcoat. Later-
  18. Sam, I thought I had already commented on your build but I was wrong. What a beautiful job on your Ranchero in such a short time. I had a lot of fun tying in. Later-
  19. Thanks Chris! Later-
  20. Thanks Stephen! Glad you like it. Later-
  21. Looks great Tom! It was an excellent time. I enjoyed meeting you and chatting (until my tablet died and I had to wait for my wife to finish with her laptop). See you next time. Later-
  22. Got my end of a deal with fordf-100 (Phil) today. Beautifully packed and a great guy to deal with! Thanks Phil. Later-
  23. Going to post this here. I figured it is a good central location for all of us on here who participated. I built the MPC GTO Super Judge drag car. I finished in 23 hrs, with 6 hrs of sleep from 3 AM to 9 AM ( so, technically 17 hrs). I sprayed the first paint coat (31 degrees in my garage) and ended up with a huge paint run above the driver's rear wheel well that ran the length of the rear fender. So, after an hour in the dehydrator I had to wet sand it out and start the paint over. I had a lot of fun building and tying in on Zoom with everyone. Looking forward to next time. Later-
  24. Mike, Looks good! Nice work on scratching the front assembly. I am doing the same right now on a 41 Willys pickup since I can't find what I need in the stash. I like the paint color too. And as for the stance, I don't think anyone is complaining (just stating information in a friendly way). I would just say that the car is in "launch mode". Later-
  25. Thank you guys. I appreciate the kind words. Put a bit of polish on it this morning just to see if I could make it look a bit better. Can't see much difference in it. Later-
