  1. I work in a factory. On my inspection table, there are model kits waiting to be built and also on my production table.
  2. Seems nicely molded.
  3. MPC repackaged the Airfix line of 1/32 kits. Some CanAm cars and some vintage type cars like a Rolls and a Daracq.
  4. That was a dude who made his name with his band. Plus when he was younger, he looked better.
  5. The fresh ones suck too.
  6. I saw it. That was a bad movie. But my top bad movie in all time was Zardoz, starring Sean Connery. Best line in the entire movie was "The gun is good; the penis is evil"
  7. Oh I don't know. Elle King and Lizzo for instance. Not beauties by any means and Elle King has talent.
  8. She's my hall pass.
  9. Janis didn't appeal to those who expected the standard white girl pop sound. She was from Texas and had a unique voice harkening to past black lady blues singers with a rock backing. That was the appeal. She was different than others in that time. People were experimenting with the sound and mixing musical genres. Look at Clairy Browne And The Bangin' Rackettes from Australia. Looks and sounds almost like Amy Winehouse (but not so rail thin) but had a soul type of delivery. Her song "Love Letter" is awesome.
  10. Pancakes. Pancakes make me happy.
  11. Hoi Polloi is Greek. It means the masses. So Hoi Polloi relates to the proletariat. The chauffeur wood be hoi polloi, not the other way around.
  12. Thanks for the lead and those nice pics of the conversion.
  13. I guess I missed that post. I just never saw Mercury trim for any of the Fords in the years they made Mercury trucks in Canada. I just thought it would be cool if I could make something different. Any era would be cool. From the 50s til the last one which was in the 70s I think.
  14. Is it possible for you to do up some Mercury badges for the Ford trucks from Mobius ( I can never remember how to spell that company name...Hahaha)
  15. I would build this.
  16. Would not be hard to duplicate in model form.
  17. Toy and model and diecast show at Serb Hall in Milwaukee today. I got a Louisville Ford truck kit and a small Lindberg Mini Lindy Ford box truck with garage kit that was sealed. Opened that to see the Ford as well as the body and chassis for a Chevy Van that they sold in the series. I figured I would build the garage and have the van rusted on blocks next to it in a diarama entitled "How to get a call from the HOA".
  18. This is a wonderful build. The wheels are perfect for this car. I've always like Panasports or Minilite style wheels on small Japanese cars. This makes me want to find this kit and build it too.
  19. I think this has the right amount of griminess to it. I'd be afraid to touch it thinking I would get old oil on myself. Hence...perfection.
  20. As well as Heller and others. But those would have been beyond the scope of the article's intent.
  21. Revell's 57 Ford kit is a lower range car as opposed to AMT's 57 Ford
  22. I built one. A real nightmare. I was not sure of the accuracy of the engine knowing that FAW cribbed the design off an American polysphere 318 from the 50s. I modified a Ford engine from the Otaki T-Bird kit because of it's size. I also re made the suspension bits from a 1/20th scale Lindberg S10 kit. Remember the real car is quite large. The car is not far off from the real one. I would like to do it again and so abetter job of painting and redoing my interior. The kit did not have interior panels so I scratch made them to fit. A lot of studying photos of the real car let me realize the back seats in it actually had that ill fitting surround shielding the rider.
  23. Yes it does but mine must not be resin. It's really shiny on the inside. Plastic like. Older resins tend to be matte in finish from those days. Plus the chrome trim from the hood and trunk is gone except for the hood ornament. There are grooves were it used to be. Almost toy like underneath with posts anf mounting pins for glass.
