  1. Kinda like a cockroach infestation.
  2. For those who say this is a rear engined car, it is NOT. It will be a mid engined car. It will have a similar layout as the Ford GT and certain Ferarris and the NSX
  3. As someone who was lucky to live in Milwaukee in the 80s, I met Gary at his Vliet street office then. As I had just moved from California and had endured a fire of my home where I lost everything, Gary gave me a whole collection of SAE from the first to the then current issue. I also got to draw the Model Behavior page in Car Modeler magazine. He will be missed.
  4. Great car. The name Spike suits you.
  5. I like the lift.
  6. I totally loved the Fergie tractor. I have built Heller kits for many years.
  7. just picked up the AMT 70 1/2 Camaro kit. I seem to remember building a similar kit with a vinyl top. Does anyone know which kit that was?
  8. The whole back half of the car doesn't look right to me.
  9. True, the molds were Pyro's but Life Like had the license.
  10. I did an article for Dirt Bike Magazine once. It was about the green stickies the state required you to place on your off road vehicle. The funds were to provide off road p-arks in areas where there wasn't adequate off road oportunities. We had found the land and everything was a go until Fess Parker complained about his "Mobile Home Community" would be impacted by the noise (we designed in sound prevention berms) and would spoil his people's view (view was highway 101 through an industrial park). Ol' Dan'l Boone got his way. I remember one of the persons from the mobile homes got quite upset when I referred to them as a Trailer park. LOL. Long story short, a sympathetic land owner in Carpenteria let us use his land for off road fun as that city wasn't going to let him build a condo resort there. Zoot Capri to all of you.
  11. Got this kit from another member of the model club I belong to. 1970 Grand Prix by MPC. All minty fresh inside the box. Chrome is like new and even has the two snow tires still in the box. Pick from internet. $125.00, but when ya see'em, ya gotta buy'em.
  12. I love trials bikes. I had a Montessa 250 Cota that was kind of a mutt. Montessa frame and engine, Yamaha plastic fuel tank, Bultaco seat, Aermacchi (Harley) forks and Kawasaki gas shocks and a Amil carb, CZ handle bars. It ran well, never died, and was used to pull start friend's newer modern bikes on the trails. \'
  13. That's a great idea. I should do that when I resume the process.
  14. The earlier the kit, the better. later PYRO releases deleted the actual brass plate and molded the plastic bits in a dull brass color. I have the Mercer, 1910 Buick, Renault. The Buick's engine does not look right to me however.
  15. I have to think 63 to 65 as most of those IMC kits came out around 1965.
  16. I was a nut for those Renwal 66 Revival kits...all long since gone. I have newly acquired all except for the Jordan. That's a tough one to find at a reasonable price. Also JoHan Mercedes Benz kits. I have a bunch in the stash. Monograms 30 Fords and the Revell early Ford's too. Of course IMC and the AMT boxed Heller double kits. Also found a double kit of Wilhelm's Wonder and Tognotti's T which I am afraid to start. AMT Barris built ZZR too of which I found a glue bomb of that is undergoing resto.
  17. One question. In my kit of the 68, the instructions show part number 101 (fan clutch) as having a shaft which fits through the fan and pulleys and into the water pump. The actual part on the tree shows no such shaft. Was mine short shot or is there a discrepancy between part and drawing?
  18. Found a 1/32 scale 57 Caddy kit by Gunze Sangyo today at the LHS
  19. The Minicraft Rolls Royce was originally a Hubley kit. They did some Fords and a Rambler Metropolitan I think.
  20. Another builder used a Kaiser as a basis for his custom. Turned the above into this.... Voodoo Larry from the Chicago area.
  21. On my desk, on the floor, on the end tables, on top of the dressers, in the designated craft room, rinse and repeat.
  22. In that Firebird pic, notice the blue car next to the VW? 69 Beaumont
