Of all the 68/69 GM mid size cars, the Buick looked very nice in my eye. The side sweep detail was great. Didn't hurt that my Grandfather had a new one and I later owned a 69 Special DeLuxe. The Chevelles were chunky and Olds were bloated. The Ponchos were pretty cool though.
Futurattraction (Forum Member) has made Futura two doors in a stock and pro street configuration. That would be your beginning piece. They are resin bodies but would give you the beginnings for converting to a wagon. Fox platform based so a Mustang kit would donate the running gear/drive line.
OK, I went to open office and was able to figure it out and made several images of what i wanted. A 1955 Ford dashboard which also got me the proper emblem. Figured the sizing thing and hopefully I have what I need. .
I want to finish a diecast rebuild and I need emblems and the speedometer image of the car. I can find many examples of them online. I try to copy said images and go to print and my PC doesn't have a print icon or print button ....I don't know what to call it.... Anyway I just cant print the image...I hate to admit it but I do not know how. Somethings like my card program or other things I can print easily but not plain images. Any help?
Thank the Styrene Gods for Alex and the Model Empire. Great store with a lot of car kits plus other things to interest anyone. Alex has taken his inventory to the big car shows in our area and also sells online. We had others, but one store closed because the owner was retiring and the family did not want to do the work. Others were so bad that they had to fall by the wayside. it's building was falling in on itself and the owner was a totally unfriendly guy. Model kits totally soaked from the leaky roof and over priced to boot. The place eventually burned to the ground...Karma? Insurance fire? POed hobbyist? Who knows.
I don't think it was a browser cache or cookies. Mine was slow and balky even after doing the clearing. Right now it's operating very fast like it should.
First, so sorry for your loss. Harry was a great ambassador to the model car hobby. Never met him personally but had a lot of talks online about many things. One person in your area I would contact is Dean Milano. He's on Facebook and used to have a toy and model museum in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst. http://www.toys-n-cars.com/ Pretty much an expert on model value.
Yes, Like someone posted, the list started out on Milwaukee NNL. I wrote on the first page wanting the 68/69 Buick Skylark/GS, the GAZ Chaika ( I know, I'm weird like that), and the 57 Studebaker Golden Hawk with optional Packard hawk parts.
I know how this is. I've been going through my stash in the garage and found things I forgot I had. A first issue 63 Olds by JoHan all pristine and untouched, plus a 63 and 64 Buick, a 62 Mercury and much more. Found a project I was working on apparently...a 1/32 scale Lindberg Cordoba and a Monogram 1/32 scale 69 Charger without a body. Was obviously thinking of merging the two together for a better detailed Cordoba.
