  1. I'm noticing there's a lot of "locating" left to the builder on this, some guide lines, but a lot of judgment required. Your photos with the front fenders in place have helped me already! I'll be posting a "workbench" thread as soon as I start some cutting and trimming, but I know I'll be lagging behind you anyway! From the first Traction Advent I ever saw my mind thinks ... " sectioned and channeled '32 Ford", so I think I'm gonna carry it further towards Hot Rod status.
  2. That's got to hurt.. I could never sell anything I did. This is one GOOD looking set of wheels!
  3. A gorgeous build, as usual, but this shot of the interior is SPECTACULAR! The dash detail is SO realistic!
  4. I just got one of these kits after seeing how great the other Heller's from this era are. The white looks good on Traction Advants . many are now Wedding Limos. I was searching 15 Cv's here and came back to this thread.. looks like it went to sleep.
  5. Ya, that is working!
  6. Very nice looking Riv!!
  7. Really nice job!
  8. I would only suggest some new wiper blades. The weathering is looking good.. this is a most fun way to build!
  9. That's one good looking truck! Nice job there!
  10. Very interesting. A quart of PPG is a bit much for what I need, but I see some in spray cans that should work decanted into my airbrush for some control.
  11. some interesting builds .. especially by someone with your screen name, Dan.. I really like that Chevy Mule.. the weathering looks very tastefully done.
  12. simply beautiful!
  13. You are nuts with all those opens, Kevin! Gonna be sweet!
  14. here's Big 'N' Grumpy's link for, well, probably George53 That sure IS on the ground!
  15. Interesting combo of sources and they've come together fantastic!
  16. This sure does look like just what the doctor ordered, Mark. Thanks for the post, but I do have one question if you touch back here. In your statement "The idea here is to blend the “aura†or over spray haze with a little reducer, or even better, some blender as I used.", what is a "blender". I don't use urethane, so maybe that's why I've never seen this used as a product term.
  17. I clicked the image link for your first photo then right-click on image and chose "copy image location" Come back to your page and edit your post. Click the Insert Image box above the edit box. Paste that link (ctrl+V) into the box and click Insert Image. The links you posted are links to the html page and won't work pasting them here. The above methot loads the image here from your Foki page. This looks like a great tutorial. Will be nice if we don't have to jump back and forth and can see the photos on the same page as the text.
  18. Since I've been here there's only been ONE category I ever look at ... View New Content Since I love everything with wheels, this does it and I never miss a thing.
  19. What pickup guy couldn't resist this!
  20. Those are some good looking trucks!I especially like the black "stealth" one, maybe cause it's based so much on reality.
  21. Now, that's a great looking car, Samantha! How great is that Tom to see your daughter with some of your car blood! Between my son and daughter, it's my daughter by far with car blood in her. Both are in their 30's now, but neither had any car modeling interest. My son has recently build some small dioramas for his war game figures, so there some hope. My daughter would probably build a 1:1 car if she had the funds. She has never owned an automatic (learned to drive in my Porsche) and does all her own car maintenance. She even did a stint selling cars.. and outsold most of the old macho-males.
  22. I don't know a lot about these COE's, but that body is pretty cool looking! If you were going for a more original engine, the L-head similar to the one in the '41 Plymouth was used in EVERYTHING Chrysler from 1933 to 1959 with various accessory detail changes through the years. I researched this extensively when considering using the '41 engine to model a detailed '51 Plymouth engine. I have seen this engine used in many Dodge trucks but have to wonder if this workhorse made the grade to power a COE. The L-6 would probably just look too small under that cab.
  23. Who's going to do the first "Un-Chop Revell's '48 Ford Coupe" article?
  24. lets see 1-2-3-4 pipes .. yes! a nice 4 banger and the rest has a good look to it all. ... pulling up a seat to watch.
  25. This has the smell of a "what do I do with this resin body now?" program ... and I'm signing up already! This will be an interesting build to follow .. I'll be here whether I raise my hand or not.
