  1. Just do trades for large groups of random kits- that's how I do it!
  2. I've stopped myself quite a few times- when I type, it's basically just going straight to my fingers from my brain. And if I'm in a less than stellar mood, a colorful word or two might pop up in the old mental stream. But I'm not going to go out and type it, or use the pound symbols. Speaking in person, now, that's a totally different matter!
  3. That's right- those Briggs motors are pretty tough! The weirdest thing of all... five feet of water in the basement, and the fridge down there was still running...
  4. I don't want these tires. I NEED these tires.
  5. That one's actually in even more pieces now than it was when I got it!
  6. Being that I've wanted a full-detail Hudson kit for as long as I can remember (and a real Hudson for longer than that), believe me you- I'll be DEVOURING these things as they become avaialble.
  7. As far as #1, it is possible- that's happened to me trying that method to fill in the scribes. I like to use Bondo 2-part putty for this. Once the area is primed, I apply the putty to the area and sand it smooth. If the area has a 'textured' look to replicate insulation, I spray it with textured paint to restore the appearance after the scribe lines are filled and sanded smooth.
  8. The roof looks just plain AWESOME... and the 'broken' wood panels look promising- can't wait to see the body paint detailed!
  9. What do you think- maybe rekindle one of these projects? MPC '32 Chevy Panel AMT Deuce 5-window converted to a chopped 3 window many moons ago by persons unknown. Or.... This nightmarish '58 Ford hardtop?
  10. Nah- I just have those on 'Workbench' threads. Kind of want to do something just for this build. The Plymouth pretty much looks like it did the last you guys saw it, the Lincoln is just dismantled with the skirts off now.
  11. They're so much more adorable before the life-force is sucked out of them-
  12. Wow- a Dark Crystal reference? Awesome.
  13. They're 1:24, but the Hasegawa Kubelwagen kit comes with some small arms and a couple of grenade launchers.
  14. Just excellent.
  15. I do recognize a Monogram '30 Model A top on Lee's model...
  16. Some Krylon paints do etch the surface and 'stain' it a bit, so depending on what color and what specific line of Krylon paint used, you might not ever get it totally stripped of the color, but it will be good enough to paint over.
  17. Dunno about great, but I do have four albums full of 'em, mostly '60's and earlier models! Andyeah, watch that intake manifold. Here are my photo albums' http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/ford-c-series/
  18. Ed- the guy who owns Time Machine is named Jeff.
  19. I guess I'm a real sicko- I've been picturing this with a scale four or five inch chop ever since I first saw it.
  20. Scenes Unlimited casts a set with open hubs. They are $5 a set plus shipping. http://scenesunlimited.homestead.com/5_slot.JPG I've seen a few with the caps molded on but I'm not sure who sells them. Here's Scenes Unlimited's page- http://scenesunlimited.homestead.com/
  21. Very cool, and glad to hear I'm not the only guy who likes to rework diecast pullback toys.
  22. Nobody said that, so I'd have to ask... are you using your volatile organic compounds in a well ventilated area? (Because I know I'm not! )
  23. K-I-L-L-E-R. Never even knew AMT made such an animal. BINGO.
