  1. Very nice build!!!! But I am bias! I want my 1/1 46 coupe to look somewhat like your build. At some point I hope to paint it factory maroon with steel wheels/trim rings......I need to build a model until I get funds for the 1/1. Thx
  2. You make the kit look good!!!
  3. Enjoyed his work.....Prayers to family...RIP
  4. Packages, all types, are permitted to 'sit' at each stop for one day if need be.....which means anything from full truck to 'I forgot' to load it. SOP
  5. Not long ago I was doing a lot of ebay selling.....Charleston takes 3 days to travel two counties over but SoCal, 3000 miles, takes 2 days.....Gov't at work!!
  6. I have a real soft spot for PYRO kits and have collected a number of them. As a kid it was much easier to talk Mom into a 39 cent PYRO kit than a $1 AMT kit at PIC N SAVE. I didn't like the kits at the time....no chrome was the biggest issue. But now I'd buy them all again if R2 decides to run them all again. Great thread.
  7. I live in the most rural county East of the Mississippi. So I order and track LOTS of items. My favorite: Package leaves Chicago, Ill, Columbus Ohio, Charleston WV. I figure my house next as I am close to Charleston.....NO....package goes to Greensboro NC, then Charlotte NC. Where now??? Greensboro!!! It gets worse as back to Charleston WV........finally to me. If this was the only one.....a bad day for a postal worker.....but I see this ALL THE TIME!! When I complained on a forum I was told by a USPS person it was 'logistics' working as designed....he knows as that's his job!!!! The Emperor has no clothes!!!
  8. The good thing about AMC being flat broke was how they used and reused parts. A kit manufacture could engineer a tool to make the 70-74 cars with less tooling than might seem needed. The real Javelin doors and glass was the same for all years. Chassis was unchanged for those years......a 68-69 Javelin was different. A 71 is a good choice for a number of reasons......and I being bias agree!!! I've pitched a Javelin a few times....I hope someone does one while I can still build!!!
  9. You made it look as good as the box art!!!!
  10. Thought it was the same as the Scrambler kit......
  11. Who wants to build??? I do the decals!!!!
  12. Terry is sending me a CD of all photos. John G asked to use them too.....I send stuff like this to him on a regular basis.
  13. No arm twisting here......I have owned about 6 AMC's but down to two now. And having owned Mustangs and Camaros I have a good amount of insight into who was best. The Camaro is gone....still have my 66 Mustang....do the math. My 1973 Javelin is a two owner car....I'm the 2nd. If it was a Camaro, Mustang or Cuda it would be worth MUCH more than what my insurance policy says it's worth. It has some cool options and a 'perforated vinyl' interior that is original and hard to find after 44 years 100% intact. So AMC kits are high on my list of wants. Here's hoping!!
  14. Some artistic license was taken. Terry builds on commission and happy customer is job one. The other side of this is the current owner of the 1/1 Malone trucks asked is they could use it on their site.....so they approve too!!

  16. Or maybe late 50's early 60's????
  17. Prayers to him and all his family. Very sad..... Mom was very ill for two years.....she came to a point she gave in.
  18. He used all the kit supplied decals.....but the royal blue must be painted AND must match supplied decals!!!
  19. My SoCal buddy started this build when I was there last Aug.......just finished it up. Terry does not do internet as he build on commission most times. But he said it'd be fine to share this one.....Paint took 80% of the time to build.....really hard paint job to match up with decals. Enjoy
  20. I had/have all the documentation to prove my case for this guy stealing all my work.....his order of my sheets, USPS tracking numbers......decals bought from him showing they were my work. But the difficulty and cost......much less the most valuable thing time, would again be more a moral victory.....just the way thing work.....now prove $500,000 in damage....you might break even.
  21. Suing someone after you no longer make the product AND you are no longer in business would be a very expensive victory for the right to say 'told you so'......damages would be nill and thus the win would be only a moral one.
  22. Bingo!!! I screen print my whites so they stay bright white......He just puts my decal in a photo copier and sells them like that....pure junk.
  23. R&D sued Estes and parent Tower.....they had deep corp pockets and sold the copied items internationally. Taking a law suit against a cottage industry will not go as easy......I know my decal catalog has been copied by a guy that sells them on ebay and even getting them to step in is most difficult......a suit even more so and costs a lot more. Having my hard work copied is not something I'd wish on anyone. But I can see taking an out of production item (vintage AMT kit or a resin kit) make some improvements and casting it. It's a very gray area when someone casts an out of production item be it a aMT kit or a Modelhaus kit......where do we draw the line???
