  1. Nice clean builds in great colors!! Plus great seeing another Flock car....I did the decal art for that one. Ms flock was a neighbor of mine when I lived in Charlotte.
  2. And Matt gets a 2 week vacation! But remember kids....do as I say....not as I DO!!!!
  3. That kit came from an era when tooling was being cut up and modified to eliminate anything they could.......including positive locators. finished well considering what you started with.
  4. NOW BACK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I have the kit myself........thought a 'work' version would be cool.......so I'll sit back and watch!! Good start!
  6. NICE build........but I may take all my Matt cars out to the driveway Monday and show them a mighty hammer.......I'll feel better then.
  7. NICE PROGRESS!!!
  8. As a owner of a few rarer collector cars.....I don't want to see GOOD cars cut up for a short lived movie carrer. But everything I read on the building of the Mad Max vehicles said they used cars that for the majority were junk. They WANTED junk as it was pre-weathered and dented!!! The Chevys for the War wagon were parts no one would try and save........I am sure some salvageable parts were used......and entire cars like 'Elvis; were complete road worthy cars that owners choose to sell.......but the vast majority was stuff I'd not tackle myself.
  9. Nice work!!!! I own a 1/1 so just seeing someone build 'em.....COOL
  10. I don't think there is a type glue NOT on my work desk. CA, epoxy, Testors tube glue, Micro Weld, white glue, Gorilla Glue etc etc.....can't have too many!!!
  11. Very nice work!!! I picked up the kit at Toledo. I spent WAY too much time on a real Trail 70 back in the day. Loved that bike. Buddy had a 60 and we rode all the time in mountains of WV.
  12. I was gonna do the R/W/B paint.....but I may have changed my mind. Not 100% sure now
  13. painted white roof........or it would be really rusty!
  14. she looks rough but it's a classic old lady car 34K miles i'm 2nd owner.
  15. Just watch the film 'idiocracy' it is set some 100+ years in the future.....but will happen, is happening, much sooner.....sometimes it's good to be old.
  16. I own a 1/1 scale 74 coupe.......looks good so far!!
  17. Well since you asked so nice............ I am working on a Giga too.....along with a War Wagon. Both stalled due to my Dad passing expectantly and me caring for the estate. BUT......I hope this winter to get back in full swing, Does this count?????? My own build and design
  18. Powers that be say not gone....but as time goes does seem odd......
  19. Calling it junk is a bit harsh. 'Vintage challenge' might be more correct. Don't know that I'll buy one......having a built version don't 'need' one..... but who knows. Another view. And yes...I built it over a weekend as a fun build to see what I could make of what was in the box....
  20. Thanks sir!! The start of Bill's NASCAR carrer started about the same time as mine......mine was just in licensing....not as exciting as driver!!
  21. I carry a number of sets for that car. contact me for info. thx
  22. Nice clean work....my favorite!!
  23. Nice work......I like the kt myself......two built....3rd started!
  24. check Gofer Racing decals online,,,,,,,they have some neat decals that would work.
  25. Got time to take some quick pics.....enjoy....... Got my S&H Torino build #2 complete. A pretty much box stock build other than wheels and tires. I still have to add the front tag....it was drying still. Box stock build with Tamiya Bright Red paint. Kit decals went on very well and reacted well to Walthers Solvaset to help on curves. The S&H build next to my first build of Bill Elliott's NASCAR Torino.....Bill's very first CUP ride. Added plug wires just for fun. You can see that the ARII slots and BFG tires are bigger than stock. Maybe a tiny bit to big....but a very 70's look for sure......my real 66 Mustang had tires much too large in 1976!!! I really like this kit....... Bill's CUP car is sitting on a Monogram Thunderbird chassis. Testors custom mix white and #1108 blue. Penngwen Hobbies decals. I know this kit is not evertones favorite recent issue. But the kit is well done and is designed to bring new folks into the hobby. When Revell looked at the iconic cars of TV and movie....all had been done in plastic but the S & H Torino. And with the demise of all Duke's kits.....this could be the go to kit for newbies and grandma's across the country. Either way, like it or not, an important kit for the hobby. I plan on another 4-5 builds.........the 'Dude's' up next.....
