  1. Wonder if they got the SCCA license for 'Trans Am'??? That was the issue with AMT and Revell for years.
  2. One word......DELOREAN
  3. Very well done!!!! Those mods have been in my mind since I was a kid and built it.....now I don't have to!
  4. A really cool and well done project!
  5. I take it that will aid in smoothing the surface??? I am pretty much a rookie at 3D print. I wanted to try it, I have a laser cutter that have master very well, but the 3D software beat me and I gave up. Thanks A laser cut structure I made.
  6. Very interesting!! Look forward to seeing how it comes out.
  7. I'll buy a few Californian's.......I like it's awfulness!
  8. Nice to see that kit built. Well done. I hope those are my decals.....there is a guy on ebay that photo copies ALL my decals......? I know it's to late for you.....but back when Model King issued these kits I was working with them and did a How To on building thsese kits. Thanks https://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/model-king-stocker-/
  9. All these 1950-60's Monogram kits are nice.....easy build. I'd buy a few of these if easy to find....Monogram REO
  10. We're on the same track!!!I finished that kit recently too. A decent kit for it's age and more simple over the more current kits with tons of parts. GOOD WORK!!
  11. Having owned a real 82 Z28 I bought two of these old promos thinking I'd build a model of my car. The first one I got shattered into hundreds of pieces when I tried to remove the body. Even the interior sides just fell off! So handle carefully!
  12. One of Randy's best. My wife met Randy a few times. His mom was in a rest home my wife worked at. A truly nice guy who always talked to my wife and was polite. thx
  13. I have most of the Zoowies.......cool little cars.....very unrealistic!
  14. I saw the Mini Art kits....but lots more $$$$ than these. This was just a simple quick project while building some 1/35 military subjects. Thanks
  15. Agree with all above. The kit ranges from great to fair. The back cab window snaps in place between the opening like the real truck! Then there are parts that just miss it. Over all a decent kit we will never get in 1/25.
  16. Even has the flat hood rather than MACH1 hood....
  17. While building and looking for 1/35 military models I found this model by ZVEZDA of a GAZ AAA, a Ford Model A truck built in Russia under license from Ford. Looking at the kit it was so close to a Ford Model A that I bought it with plans to make it into a Ford A. More details later......but here she is...not cleaned up or small details finished....but I wanted to see what needs finish. Thanks
  18. Shipping is killing a lot of small biz. Wonder why a model I bought from the Ukraine, large military kit, delivered in 7 days with signature confirmation cost the seller the equivalent of $11USD??? I can't send a standard car kit to my buddy for that!! Says something about the MASSIVE cost that the USPS must pay for things that have nothing to so with moving mail.
  19. My son said the WM in Lexington KY got a new AMT/R2 pallet shipper in today. LOTS of good stuff....OK prices. Things like the new Nova Wagon, snow plow, tow Pete....LOTS of stuff.
  20. Yes....and Meat Loaf!! The other vehicle was a 82-3 Camaro.....want to build it too.
  21. This build was inspired by the movie Black Dog......a GREAT B movie. DO NOT bother telling me I used the wrong Pete to build my model. When I was looking at what I needed to build a correct Black Dog Pete and how expensive it would be.....I went with the under $20 Revell Monogram kit....which is a decent kit BTW. Most people will never know!!! I made all the decals used. Tags too. The kit was built box stock other than the 'wings' added to the sleeper and the treadplate that a big fight scene, at speed, takes place.....I had to add them. Otherwise Tamiya paints and decals I made myself. I want to build the raggy trailer to go with it.....someday!! Thanks
  22. Seems Rally car models are doing fine.
  23. Growing up in So Cal 1960 to DEC 31 1969 was a great era. Living between Disney and Knott's was a kid's dream. My So Cal buddy who I visit as often as I can (not 2020!!) talk about how lucky we were to live in So Cal, have parents that were not wealthy by any means, but able to takes us to so many of the good things So Cal had. It's sad things have changed so much......but change is the only constant. Driveway racing about 1965. NOTE my shirt!
  24. The Grand Am body is most likely ready to run with ZERO repair of clean up. I bought one of the originals....may get a new one.
