  1. I have just had a great trading experience with Matija Vasic (Power Plant). He engaged in clear communication throughout the trade. Excellent packing guaranteed the safe arrival of the contents from Croatia!
  2. I have had a great trading experience with Matija Vasic (Power Plant). Great communication combined with a well packaged model for safe arrival from Croatia!
  3. Roger, nice catch with the Jaguar Mk.II Racing.
  4. James, thanks for the info. I am never in a real hurry for any given project anyway. I have lots of model car resources to keep me occupied.
  5. Tamiya Titanium Gold comes pretty close, Available in enamel and acrylic. There are a variety of other metallic colours available. I really like the the Vallejo acrylic line called "Metal Color".
  6. Thanks Rob. At first glance, that website could be a real wallet-emptier!
  7. James, who or what is USCP?
  8. Tulio, thanks for posting the link to the file. That will be useful! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
  9. Casey, what have you done? LOL What has been seen cannot be unseen!
  10. The original is the best one any way!
  11. Well done Tulio! It looks great. I hope you have a proud sense of accomplishmnt in the restoration of this model. Do you think you might find another one to do a sibling build up?
  12. Tulio, I would definitely consider this as a "once in a lifetime" event. As such, I would take pictues of the parts as they exist now. I would then suggest that you work your magic to restore the car to the condition that it was in when you gave it to your friend.
  13. James, every time I watch your Stash Report, I am in total amazement of all the prime Japanese kits that you have. I know that I will never get to all of mine ... how can you possibly complete all of yours?
  14. Pat these kits are really great. For many years I had the Manglia on display in my classroom, along with my Godzilla collection! LOL
  15. Eric, when I went to the Detroit show, I saw in person the magic that you have worked. This one however, might be a real challenge! : )
  16. I am really liking your combination of flat black and a dark shade of red on the wheels.
  17. The dusty weathering of the chassis looks just right.
  18. I can now understand why Dakar and Baja vehicles must have amazing suspension systems!
  19. With the help of Google, and the given box top image, it appears to be a Tomy kit of the "1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL"
  20. What a great build up. Your masking for the flat / semi-gloss parts is ultra sharp and clean. Very well done.
  21. Greg, I use a product called Blue Tac, in a similar manner to Silly Putty. The volume of paint that covers the putty is almost negligible. After you remove the putty after masking, kneading the putty will make the broken-up paint particles all but disappear. I have used the same Blue Tac now for several masking jobs. It has discoloured a bit, but is still very much usable. I hope this helps.
  22. Jeroen, You have me drooling with envy. Some ambitious kits there ... Tamiya 1/12 Williams FW-14B ... WOW!
  23. Jonathan, thanks for the in box review. That definitely looks like a kit worth purchasing.
  24. Jonathan, I am looking forward to your open box review in Pheeden's Garage.
