  1. Arrived today December 2 Victoria BC Canada. Looks great. Thanks Gregg for your dedication. Hope you have a great holiday season and all the best for 2020 Regards Phil
  2. Very nicely done. Handsome car. This kit is worth buying just for the wheels and tires.
  3. Very cool livery
  4. That is one very cool looking Deuce. Great job.
  5. Fabulous paint job and great photos
  6. After seeing your project last evening it was interesting to review your build details to learn what I missed seeing in person.
  7. Its going to look fantastic painted green.
  8. I am going to the local model car club meeting this evening so I thought I would fit things together to show what I have accomplished since last month. The under-door side trim was modified to represent the grooved 63 design with textured Evergreen Styrene. In front the open grill was also fabricated with Evergreen Styrene. The gaps in the top two bars are for the bumper mounts. The cowl vents were opened by grinding underneath then scribing with a hobby knife. This is the first test fit of the window glass. It looks like I may need to fiddle a bit with the windshield.
  9. Thanks Bill - I noticed the steering linkage fell off. Fortunately I found it.
  10. I have completed all the underbody modifications and assembly, as this will likely be the last On the Workbench post before finishing the body and putting it all together. The engine fit perfectly into the Revell 67 427 engine compartment. I added the surge tank from the AMT 63 and made up a master cylinder more representative of that used on the Z-06. The radiator bulkhead was modified to except the air intake and some additional plumbing was added. I had a chance to look underneath my buddies 65 Corvette and realized I had previously misidentified what was painted green zinc chromate. The two green pieces are seat securing nut plates. I also painted the spare tire carrier a more representative grey. Side exhausts are aluminum tube joined to sections of the styrene exhaust from the 427 kit.
  11. Great to see the GTO and Daytona together. They both look fabulous.
  12. You should be proud. I always appreciate seeing built Roth models. You now have a great collection. I had an ambition to build them all and had the kits and a couple of books about Roth's creations. But I am sad to say I have built none. Have started a Bandit and determined to some day complete it as it is my all time favorite.
  13. I saw the movie yesterday and found it very entertaining. I think they did a tremendous job condensing about three years into 2.5 hours as well as being able to realistically visually depict the action and era. There are bloopers, untruths and inaccuracies but it does not talk away from the entertainment value plus it is kind of fun and even rewarding to spot those. Highly recommended.
  14. Thanks Tim for a fabulous album of photos. I am not sure how almost a week went by before I noticed your post. I thought I was just going to see photos of new releases so was very surprised and pleased to also see the incredible models that were displayed at the NNL.
  15. You are correct. I like it too !!
  16. Being a huge Dan Gurney fan I had to check out your project and find out more about. You are doing a fantastic job on this project and I look forward to seeing it being under glass. Dan was the master of Riverside having won there many times. As has been noted' he had not raced for 10 years. Yet was able to start seventh and work his way up to second before dropping out with transmission problems while running third. The back story is very interesting. There is a good summary on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Gurney
  17. Beautiful Deuce. I like everything about it !!
  18. The Lil Coffin was definitely the wildest Deuce ever and you certainly built a fantastic replica
  19. Pro-Touring is becoming one of my favorite styles and you nailed it !!
  20. Very impressive
  21. Extremely handsome classic. Well built.
  22. Great use of the Ala Kart parts. The taillights and rear pan are especially effective.
  23. Definitely one of the nicest looking AMT 40 Ford Coupes I have seen. Great job!!
  24. Good looking race car. I really like the photo of it at the apex
