  1. Awesome livery. Beautiful model. Kudos to Tamiya for producing this kit. Maybe there needs to be a dedicated thread for all the great Mustang GT4 builds ??
  2. A couple of real beauties.
  3. Very accurate looking FIA. My favourite Cobra.
  4. Great to see the race car and road car side by side in similar liveries. Both well done.
  5. A real masterpiece
  6. Canada was the test market for Hyundai. In the mid 1970s I saw the first Pony at a new car show in Vancouver. Afterwards they started selling like crazy because they were so cheap. I even looked into starting a dealership. They soon released another larger sedan model which was also very poplar - the Stellar but both were real rust buckets and were written off by many but Hyundai really figured their market out and now produce an incredible line up of cars.
  7. WOW - so many incredibly cool Deuce Coupes. It was fun looking back on my builds from the past. Here are a few. The first grey 5-W was built with the AMT roof and Revell body before Revell released the 5-W
  8. Here are a few of my Deuce Roadsters a few of which have Duval windshields which seem to be popular here
  9. I am loving these Deuce threads so could not resist posting a couple of my builds. Both are replicas. The orange one maybe the fastest steel Deuce Sedan in the quarter mile which has been owned and raced by the same guy since 1962. The yellow one is the late Mr, Good Guys Gary Meadors hot rod.
  10. Very interesting and enjoyable slice of history. Good looking model as well.
  11. Thanks Dave Thanks Bill Thanks Larry Thanks Anton - I have been tempted to get one of the new full bumper kits but figure I would never build it now that if have finished this project. Here is a photo of the underside.
  12. Thanks Misha - I appreciate your comments. Here is a photo of the interior
  13. Thanks Josh Thanks Rich - You will have the advantage of starting with the full bumper kit. A couple of problems I had with final assembly were the fabricated dash gauge binnacle touching the windshield and the decals not conforming to the rear license plate area. Here is a photo of the underhood area.
  14. Thanks Dave - The hood being ajar was actually just happy coincidence on the model and yes it was to get additional cooling on the real car Thanks Steve - I just took this photo of the Camaro with the 2D I converted about 15 years ago to its final configuration from the Monogram Daytona version. I am surprised by how creamy the Testor's white enamel appears now compared to the Tamiya bright white on the Camaro. Jim Hall signed the bottom of the 2D at the Monterey Historics
  15. Finally finished and posted Under Glass
  16. DISCLAIMER- This was not built from the new full bumper kit and the real car ran with the front of the hood slightly ajar I have more photos I will post in the coming days Most of the modifications were documented in an On the Workbench thread Tamiya Bright White, Fred Cady Decals, Detail Master Hood Pins
  17. I always like seeing a classic especially a boat tail. Thanks for posting
  18. You sure captured the classic mild custom look. It has been longtime since I last saw a '58 Ford model.
  19. Very handsome GT40.
  20. Looks good. I have always liked the white one the most. Congratulations on completing this. I bet you are one of a very small percentage who has.
  21. Absolutely wonderful news. Congratulations and thank you to all involved with the relaunch.
  22. Impressive to see your use of the latest technologies to build a classic.
  23. I sure like the look of those Thickstun head covers. This is the first time I have seen them used on a model. I have been saving a set for the right application. I heard the real ones were developed for use in boats to prevent water fouling the plugs.
  24. I agree with Misha. I am very impressed with the fidelity of the Cox body representing the early version of the Ford GT40.
