  1. Good looking hot rod. I like the look of the SBC in the revised reissue.
  2. Thanks Dennis - I always appreciate your comments. I am really looking forward to going for ride in this Model A next summer.
  3. Thanks Gareth - great description. I would say the owner/builder of the full scale car is a gentleman so very appropriate Thanks Randy
  4. Here are some chassis photos
  5. Thanks Marty Thanks Larry
  6. All comments above very well deserved.
  7. Very well built. In 67 my parents had a 67 Mustang Notchback but like Misha, I lusted for a GT350 after seeing a green one with white stripes. This ranks high on the list of all time best AMT kits.
  8. Thanks David and yes my friend loved it Thanks Chris
  9. Thanks Misha - Cool that you posted the work in progress photos.
  10. I have a friend who has owned a 1931 Model A Sedan for over thirty years. Up until about three years ago it could best be described as a traditional resto-rod meaning it had a restored body with a more modern powertrain. It was a good looker in black with a great stance and ran on chrome wirewheels. A model of this car could have been built pretty much box stock from the Revell kit with the addition of a small block Chevy and a set of wirewheels. It is a longer story but my friend was gifted with a new frame which led to an almost complete overhaul of the Model A with new running gear and some body modifications. The transformation to a street-rod is almost completed and should be on the road by next summer. I decided to build a model of this refreshed Model A. The result is not an exact replica but represents similar changes my friend has incorporated during the overhaul. 12. Very interesting and thought provoking thread. It got me to thinking of all the eras and styles of hot rodding. Some of those were simply timeless but just about any car can be made to look current with a change of colour, wheels and stance.
  13. Well done Steve. It is always fun to get way out in left field sometimes.
  14. Great looking up-tops on a couple of fabulous Deuces
  15. Absolutely excellent. The 49 has always been a favourite of mine. This might be the ultimate.
  16. Very good looking conversion.
  17. Agreed. Well done restoration and enhancement of a model of a beautiful racecar
  18. WOW Beautifully built model. I am a Villeneuve fan having seen him race Formula Atlantic at Westwood near Vancouver and F1 at Spanish GP 1979. He would have been World Champion in 1982 if he had lived
  19. Excellent model of a beautiful racing car. Have always liked the Surtees livery
  20. Thanks for posting your ASA projects. I have one of the #84 kits of which I was very pleased with what's in the box. It can obviously be built into a very nice model.
  21. Very good looking interior. Is that back seat area detail scratch-built?
  22. Thanks for posting these pics Tim. I really enjoyed seeing them I haven't build a ski boat model in over half a century but your builds have got me thinking.
  23. That checks all the hot rod boxes. Very well built. Really like the Pontiac engine.
  24. Great looking model in any scale but outstanding in 1/62
  25. I have been planning to get the new kit but would use it to build a 69 Boss 429
