I have an Airfix Quickbuild Beetle. Haven't tried to scale it out, but judging by the roof section it looks a bit bigger than the new-tool 1/24 Revell kit to me.

Faller Super Expert is similar in concept to the Revell Contacta Professional. Great glue, and I like the dispenser better than the one Testors uses. It’s available in the US, especially at shops that carry a lot of model train stuff. I’ve also bought it at Walther’s in Milwaukee.

Early on there was a ProFinish version of the ‘63 coupe too. That one was black with flames.

That kit shares a lot of parts with Revell's '56 Nomad and Del Ray, so the "extra" firewall and core support are for those kits. You're going to want to use the parts on the tree with the '57 hood.

Those tires were also used in the '59 Corvette 2-in-1, the custom version of the '99 Chevy Silverado, and the California Wheels '69 Corvette coupe. But those kits all had chrome inner wheels.

Gave my California Wheels '57 Bel Air sedan a quick look. The large-diameter wheels use the one-piece design with ribs that slip inside the hollow tire, so this for sure isn't from that kit or the California Wheels '56 Del Ray. The design makes me think it's not very likely it's a Revell part. So who are other suspects? Didn't Jada make a handful of plastic kits? Can't remember if they were DUB City or something else like Big Time Muscle. Don't have any of those, but that might be a place to look. The AMT 'big-wheel" kits from the RC2 days that were in series like Resto Rods might be a place to look too. Not sure how many of those were molded in white though.

If it is a Revell inner wheel, it's a very unusual design. It's not clear how it would have mounted to the axle. There must be another piece that had a snap hole (not very likely) or held a metal axle pin and glued to the back of this part. And, most of the California Wheels kits were set up so you could see the disc brakes which meant the inner wheel wasn't solid. The California Wheels '57 Chevy Bel Air sedan came with a set of large diameter steelies, so that one might be a possibility but I think it used a different tire. The '94 Impala SS lowrider used the rubber I think you are referring to, but I'm 99% sure the inner wheels tooled for it had a standard snap-through axle boss that this piece doesn't have.

Any ideas for an easy-to-find tunnel ram intake that would fit the 427 big block in the Revell Yenko Camaro? Thought Revell's '67 Chevelle pro street might have one, but it doesn't. The AMT '67 Chevelle Pro Street has one, but haven't tried it yet and would like to hear other suggestions. Hoping I might have one in my parts stash that I'm not thinking of.

Except for the CB, all AMT 1977 annuals were stock only.

The photo in the Mustang Recognition Guide that's posted earlier in this thread doesn't show hood pins, and they aren't listed in the exterior section of the text that's visible in the same photo.

I have several Hasegawa Trytool chisels. Excellent quality and they come in a variety of shapes. Agree with your thoughts that the thin Trumpeter tool might be hard to grip.
