Baby Blue 1950 F1

Looking good! I like the color, and the bed mat idea is very creative! That DVD case material would probably work well for a tonneau bed cover, too. Sam -

Nice model! I like the snap kits. They build up into nice models with a little work. Yours looks great! Sam -

What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)
Sixties Sam replied to LOBBS's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I picked up this beauty yesterday. It's a 2007 Pontiac G6 GT hardtop convertible with 65,000 miles on it. Excellent condition all around, and a bargain price of $7,998! Book value is around 10 to 11 thousand. I traded in my 96 Chrysler Sebring convert with 121,000 miles that I've had since 2002. My wife and I are both lovin' the G6! In my garage with the top down. -

59 Ford Skyliner retractable - built last year
Sixties Sam replied to Sixties Sam's topic in Model Cars
I've got a build started doing just that. I swapped the 59 skyliner roof, rear deck lid panel and tail panel on a AMT 57 body. I'll have to post some pics of it soon. I'd like to see that. It sounds like a neat idea! Sam -
Looks way more than OK to me! Nice work! Sam

59 Ford Skyliner retractable - built last year

Those are the wheels/tires that came with the kit. The kit was molded in green, and had rubber tires with whitewall inserts, whereas the old 1960's kit had plastic tires and decals for the wide whites. I still have one wheel from my original. Sam -
Nice! Great paint job. The pipes are cool, too! Great work! Sam

Great looking Chevelle! Incredible paint, and the interior is really well done! Sam

I built this Revell Skyliner last May, and never posted it here. It's a repop of the old 1960's kit with the multi-piece body, and it was not real easy to build. The body gave me no problems, but the top had some fit issues. I took it off twice and did some sanding and filing to get it close to being right. The paint is Krylon. I don't remember the color name, but it looked very 50's-ish, so I used it. I attempted to build one of these kits in the 60's, when I was a teenager, and gave up on it. I think I put gas in it and burned it - did that to many of my crappy models back then!
