  1. Nice! Great detailing and weathering. It looks very believable, like it was found in some grandpa's barn. Great work! Sam

Great looking Merc! The color is just right, and very well done. Krylon works on models if you're careful. The clear really helps. You did a great job on this Merc! Sam
  3. Definitely a cool truck! Great wheels and color. The balsa bed looks good! Sam
  4. My shop is in a windowless basement room, so I have good lighting and a heater. I have an old radio and a small b&w TV. For tools I have X-acto knives, sandpaper and blocks, jeweler's files, drill press, pin vice, needlenose pliers, side cutters, and my faithful Dremel tool with abrasive cutoff wheels (it's my "cutting torch"), and sanding drums. Sam
  5. I stuck one of Ken's sixes in an AMT 66 Mustang a couple years ago. Very nice engine!
  6. Nice! Very clean and smooth build! That color is really sharp, perfect for a custom. Good work! Sam
  7. Both are very cool! Great weathering, and the melons are a great touch of realism! Good work! Sam
  8. Nice! You don't see many Fiero's in model form. Great colors, and the V-8 swap looks good! Sam
  9. Great looking Chevy! Sorry to hear about the stitches. I've used a heat gun to soften up some hard tires. A few seconds of heat on the tire, then quickly slip the wheel in before the tire cools. Sam
  10. Looks good! Good to see an unusual (not Ford or Chevy) engine in a hot rod. Paint looks good, too. Nice work! Sam
  11. Great looking custom Merc! The quad lights are a great period touch. The car looks absolutely real in that last photo! Nice work! Sam
  12. Here are a couple from the same AMT kit: A woody panel truck. And a ratty pickup made from the leftover body in the kit.
  13. Excellent build! Looks good in red, and the whitewalls add a lot to it. Nice work! Sam
  14. Great build! I like the color scheme. Very well done! Sam
  15. Great looking Chevy! The finish is fantastic! Great color and wheels. The 6-banger is cool! Nice work! Sam
  16. Sweet looking Ford! Love the color, and the interior detail is great! Nice build! Sam
  17. That's a rare one in real or model form. Very nice work on it. It looks classy and clean! Sam
  18. Great build! I like those simple kits, too. I built one of those 34's a couple months ago, and it was a fun build. Yours looks good in white. Nice work. Sam
  19. Me too. I'm old school, and I'm just old! Sam
  20. Very nice! Sharp colors, nice details. The surf theme is cool. sam
  21. Here are a couple I scratch built. The rusty old utility trailer is made from Evergreen channel and sheet with 32 Ford wheels and fenders. The teardrop is 1/12 scale, and hooks up to a 1/12 scale 57 Chevy in a campground diorama. It's made of plywood, basswood, aluminum flashing, and some styrene. The fenders are steel, from an old Tonka toy trailer. I've built a couple teardrop in 1/25, too. One is a model of the full size teardrop I built in 2006. Sam
  22. Wow! That is REALLY nice! Great finish and detailing! It made my day! Sam
  23. Beautiful work so far, Henry! That interior is amazing! I got one of those kits from eBay years ago, and it arrived with a crack in the roof, too. I wonder if that was a common flaw in those kits. Sam
  24. Brian, the mechanics are a set by Fujimi in 1/24 scale. They're often on eBay. Sam
  25. Looks great! The interior is incredible! Good work! I just got that kit, but it won't look as good as yours. Sam
