I'm going to raise this thread from the dead. I've started three (what was I thinking?) Monogram 1953/54 Corvettes. I came to the site looking for inspiration and stumbled across this. WOW! This is so very well executed.
That is the ugliest Cobra I have ever seen - talk about form following function! I think it's really cool! Your take on this is outstanding and I'm looking forward to seeing the progress.
That didn't happen to be a Monogram box for the F100 holding all of those corvettes? I sold that many once, long ago.
Looking forward to seeing this come together!
I'm sure you all probably saw this before and I'm late to the party. But, given that so many Cobras are treated so special these days, I thought this was kind of cool. It'd be a great project. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/01/17/unrestored-1965-cobra-427-sc-turns-up-at-petersen-museum-cruise-in/
I realize I'm pulling up a thread from looong ago, but I just stumbled across this. What craftmanship! What ever became of this? Did you finish? More! More! More!
Great score! And yeah, I watched it, too. I think my Mom let me watch it b/c nobody actually got hurt / killed and there was no cussin'. My Dad preferred Hee Haw. Anywho ... sure wish they'd reissue this kit, if it's possible.
Loving the concept! I've thought of doing the same thing - new, old and worn out, restored. Never could decide what car to use, though. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!
