  1. Here are two that I'm currently working. '59 Simca Vedette Gasser: And '62 Catalina Super Stocker. Both of them should be finished soon.
  2. Now I can add The '68 Hemi Dart here too: And the Slingshot Dragster from AMT Double Kit.
  3. Another update. I modified the seat belts a bit, they are lot more realistic now, when they're connected to roll cage, not to the seat. Also scratchbuilt the parachute handle, and installed the cable. Also added that transmission crossmember, and radiator too. Water hoses are installed too. Simple Pedals are scratchbuilt too.
  4. Thanks, Bill! Hopefully I can get it installed tomorrow.
  5. Thanks, Joe! That helps me enough to get the cable installed. Now back to the bench.
  6. I'm building the Gasser Simca on my Gasser & AWB Community Build, and I'm in trouble. Where do I connect the cable what leaves from the parachute launching handle, which is in the cabin? Not maybe the clearest description, but I hope you got the point. Other question: When there's a Mechanical tachometer, where do I connect that cable? It comes to engine, but where? Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Send an Email to raurata@yahoo.com http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26136 And for inspiration, Dodge Mirada built by Juha Airio on page three in that thread... Those bodies are very nice.
  8. It looks almost more realistic than 1:1 Pro Modifieds do! You're doing fantastic...... Oh, well Perfect job on this one. I'm going to pick my jaw of the floor, again.
  9. I just saw it in Model Express. I have to put order in now, before they're all gone.
  10. Can't wait to see more pictures, you do awesome work! The weathering on the chassis looks very realistic, but especially I like that rear bumber. Absolutely fantastic job. And Good Night, I just woke up. (8.30AM)
  11. Thanks for the kind words guys! This is really going to be something different, I'm planning right now what to do with the grille. Somehow I'd like use parts from the original one, or then just scratchbuild somekind of grille... We'll see. Yesterday I added some styrene for the seam on the top. I'm planning to do some sanding today to get it smoother, and then I will continue with other modifications.
  12. Thanks Nick! Actually if it's possible, a reference picture from firewall would help alot. And if you have pictures of the whole front suspension (upper or lower side, doesn't matter), they would be very helpful. And thanks Darrick! It's great to have people who are watching, it keeps me going.
  13. Also built the engine mounts, now I have to do the crossmember for transmission.
  14. Matti, sounds interesting. Can't wait to see the Merc'. Derrick: Your builds are great, when you figure it out, post a link to the pics, I want to see them! Updating the Simca build. I installed the seats and built new steering linkage. It's mostly built from Miss Deal kit parts, but they are radically modified, since the steering is now on left side, not in center as it was originally in that Studebaker kit. Also I started building the fuel system plumbings for the engine, not too fancy stuff, but done anyway. The driveshaft is built from two Miss Deal kit driveshafts, not the best in the world, but Okay for me.
  15. Matti: Thanks! I've liked especially this '69 Chrysler 300 and it's very nice in original condition too. Tom: Don't know about body corrections, or differences between the original car, but if this is Mastered by Juha Airio, I'm sure that it's just right. And Thanks! Carl: Thanx! Yup, I was suprised too about how that chassis fits inside the body. Usually when I find some parts that can MAYBE be used, they don't fit at all. Roger: Thanks! John: Thanks, the tool is made by Trumpeter. I will take a photo of it tomorrow, could not find one from Google. I should have an update soon, today I was working on the Simca Gasser on the Community Builds section. Maybe tomorrow.
  16. However, the chassis is on four wheels now. Parts fit very nicely and stance is pretty good. Front end could be bit lower, but rear end can't, otherwise rear axle would hit to the frame, and I don't do modifications to the bed, because I want to keep the body as it came from the factory.
  17. More pictures of the Stepside. I started assembling the body parts together, to get it painted. Anyways now there is some need for putty, because parts didn't fit as well as they should have:
  18. Who is the builder for that Impala? It looks great.
  19. The detail in this build is fantastic, very much all kinds of things inside it. I always find something more when looking these pictures again and again. But then- there is not too much stuff packed inside it, it's just perfect. I like the color too, fits nicely to this kind of car.
  20. Very nice Hudson! Nice paint and finish. Chrome trims look very good to me too, only thing what's wrong is that we need more pictures!
  21. Looks great, even if I can see the 90's building style on body colored bumbers and wheels. Anyway it's built very nicely, excellent paint job and fantastic details on the engine. I really like this one.
  22. Very cool build! Gremlin is cool little car and great basis for Drag Racing. You did great job with this build. Paint job looks good, and that spoiler looks actually very good when painted black. Very nice build, keep them coming.
  23. Oh, then it might not help. Well, if the subject is interesting, it's worth buying anyway. Very nice body.
  24. Check the Drag Racing Models-section. Lots of inspiration and reference pictures there from Four Links, Wheelie Bars and Front Suspension Parts.
