57 chevy pro mod w.i.p (updates 11/11/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great job! Absolutely beautiful work with the engine. I've always liked '57 Chevy ProMods, especially when they are built nicely (in 1:1 or smaller scale). Here's Finnish '57 Chevy Pro Mod, just for inspiration. -
Yep, absolutely. This is gonna be very nice build. I've been looking for this kit too for a while, even if it might be bit poor quality, it's very interesting subject and cool little car. I'm sure this'll be very nice when finished.

Very cool! How did you get the Blower fitted to that Flathead engine. I had bit problems with mine, and I had to do new intake manifold, which wasn't very simple.

1/12 `69 Camaro Z/28 Cross-Ram...Fathom Green Metallic

WOW!!! Another Beautiful build from your bench. This is very close to perfection, paint job is absolutely incredible. Very shiny and very smooth. Like all of the details too, very clean build over all, I can't find anything negative about this one. -
Turned out great. Especially the paint is excellent, and so is the building style too. I like it just this way-Old School! Very beautiful over all.
-
Those seats really turned out awesome! Very nice job with them, those are little things that make the model look better and better. I've never thought of "weathering" a seat with The Detailer, but hey-needs to try it!
-
Turned Out GREAT! Especially the paint job is perfect, like the detailing too. Really good job on it overall. Next time I'd like to see front tires which are bit more narrow than those.

This is going to be interesting! Looks good so far. These Shelby Cobras are very nice cars and nice to see them in 1/25 scale too.

Overhaulin' returns to Velocity
W-409 replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've seen a few episodes of this. Car building TV-programs are always enjoyable, so is this one too. Only thing I don't like in this program is that they make too modern cars for my taste. Well, overall I would be looking forward to it, but I know that new episodes will be shown maybe in 2015 here in Finland. -
Thanks, Bill. It's coming along slowly, but luckily it looks good. Not much done, something though. I'm testing a bit now-this picture is taken with my cell phone, since I don't have the camera right now. So don't feel too bad if this picture is not top quality, but it's the best I could do. Firewall is installed. Brake Master Cylinder is glued too and part of that throttle linkage comes through firewall now. It will be connected to the engine later. I'm planning to get this finished this week, interior should be glued to body very soon.

Mustang Gasser is done ! Finished 9-2-12
W-409 replied to cobraman's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Very nice Mustang. You did good job with putting two kits together. Actually that wheelbase looks pretty good to me, even if I wasn't sure about it when this was WIP. Anyways, it looks fantastic! -
69 Nova outlaw prostreet Finished (09/02/12)

Awesome build, Tyrone! I've always liked your builds, and they always look amazing. Anyway, this is the best one, I've seen from your bench. Fantastic paint job, wheel and tire choice, details etc. The wheelbase is just right, too. -
You're not the only one! Very beautiful Mercury Custom. Just my style, it's MILD Custom, but it sure looks like Custom instead of Factory Stock. Very cool, especially the wheel choice and color fit nicely on this body. And actually it looks pretty good unchopped too.
-
This looks good! Very sharp build on unique subject, I have to say that you did awesome job with that body. Paint and finishing overall looks very good to me, too.

Wow that's cool! Great lookin' Mustang! In Finnish SPS rules there's an "index" of 6,8 sec. And we have different types of cars, TwinTurbos, ProStock style cars, and of course some with Blower and now it looks like we have soon few cars with Blown Methanol engines here in Finland. This is one of the coolest, I think. It's with 340 Cid. SmallBlock and Blower. Hopefully it runs good this weekend at Alastaro.

1972 Ranchero
W-409 replied to TooOld's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Very cool Ranchero! One of the best year models of Torino & Ranchero. Very beautiful build too, colors fit nicely together and like the details. Over all very nice build. -
Now what to do ? Ideas ?
W-409 replied to cobraman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What I should do: -
Yeah, I will. Even if the progress is very slow. It's my first attempt to do a Tube Frame from plastic - not so easy as I thought. And High School is slowing me down alot. Well, tomorrow I'm going to Final Drag Racing Event here in Finland, let's see who takes the Finnish Championchip in Super Pro Street, it's also a good place to get some inspiration. Do you drive SPS in USA?

W-409 replied to W-409's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Very Nice! '73 And '74 Interiors are pretty close. But There are some differences, here's a link for a few reference pictures, I just took. Hope they help. http://s1038.photobu...rolet Chevelle/ -
Thanx for the link! This helps me alot in the '57 Chevy Super Pro Street build. Thanks, Dave.

Excellent job, as always. This is near perfection, but if possible-it looks better in Live. You have to show Jopo and Tunturi also . I guess that Americans haven't ever seen those in any scale.
