  1. As far as stadiums go, they create JOBS, for the people who build them, the people who maintain them, the ticket sellers, the ushers, the concessionaires/vendors,etc. People need jobs and with that they pay taxes which is used for many things besides building stadiums.
  2. Very nice build on that '55 Chevy gasser.
  3. The fact is that all major league sports are a business FIRST, and a game secondly.
  4. Go to their website and you'll get all the info you need. I have a few of the MCW resin kits and I do have one started. the castings seem pretty good to me, definitely not junk.
  5. Will that person selling the '67 Impala wagons be vending at the NNL East, or no?
  6. Driving stick shift everyday to and from work in bumper to bumper traffic can loose its charm real easy. It's not like being on an open stretch of road and bangin' the gears at all.
  7. A good friend of mine owns one..................................................................
  8. Yes I would go for some AWB cars, and I'm surprised that if you want a '68 Coronet, that you didn't get one from Modelhaus when they were available as I have one in my stash and hopefully I'll get to build it someday soon.
  9. Let me put it to you this way, if someone wants your car, they're gonna get it no matter what kind of tranny you have, what kind of alarm system, armed guards, etc.
  10. This show is less than two weeks away and we're expecting another great turnout and hopefully 1000 models on the display tables, so c'mon down and bring some of your builds also. There'll be club displays, a giant raffle, a DJ playing some tunes, and there's plenty of restaurants just down the street.
  11. Although I have a couple of Moebius kits, I haven't built one as yet as I have a lot of other model kits to build as well. I'll buy the California Flash when it does hit the shelves, although I'm in no way waiting for it. I just love dem Mopars!
  12. Have you checked with MCW Resins?
  13. I guess you do like Mopars, and you have owned a nice bunch of them. I myself prefer the B-bodies as I just love dem Mopars!
  14. Very nice job on that old Dodge, as I have a mint JoHan '63 Dodge kit in my stash and I'm wondering if I'll ever get to building it or not? I just love dem Mopars!
  15. I learned how to drive stick shift in the mid 60's and have done a lot of driving with a manual trans back-in-the-day. With having two knee replacements, my shifting days are over with. There's really no reason that many people should learn how to drive stick when they have a choice of both stick or automatic trans, when they pick out a car.
  16. That's a beautiful build on that Plymouth Cliff, as I just love dem Mopars!
  17. Yeah I saw the latest Hot Rod Deluxe at my local drugstore and while it looks like a pretty good issue, to me it's not worth $7.99.
  18. $50 is a lot for a table and can quickly cut into your profits, or even your attempt just to "break even." I've been lucky these past few years while "thinnin' the herd" by takin' some of my kits for sale to three different club meetings, and also this one club has a swap meet/show where you can sell out of your trunk and it's free. So therefore I do not spend my money on tables.
  19. I already have 2 '59 El Camino kits and plan to use one of them to rebuild a gluebomb '60 Elky that I picked up at a model show last year.
  20. I've been selling some of my "stash" over the last few years to "thin the herd" as I do have many more kits than I'm ever going to build. I'm also buying very few kits lately as I got tired of trading ca$h for plastic only to stack more model kits on top of the pile. My plan is to get my "stash" to 'bout 100 unbuilt kits or less.
  21. Very nice build on that LRW Mike, as you did a great job. I've been lucky enough to see the LRW a few times at the drag strips, and I know the owner of the latest (?) LRW who has this in his collection..............................
  22. Very nice job on that Deuce.
  23. I don't recall those panels being decals, or the Crestliner script either.
  24. Looks like you "nailed it" Tom, awesome job on that Clark station.
  25. I laughed back in the late 90's when a fellow modeler showed me two shoe boxes full of aftermarket items. Not funny anymore as I too have two shoe boxes full of aftermarket stuff, and that does not include my resin kits or bodies either. I use Model Car Garage Seat Belt Hardware and masking tape for my seat belts. I cut strips of regular (tan) masking tape and feed the end thru the buckle or latch end of the hardware, fold it over and place it on a piece of wax paper. Then I usually give the tape a couple coats of paint in any color I choose. When dry I can cut the belts to length and I usually put a tiny drop of glue on both ends of the belt when I apply them to the seats. This is really simple and looks good too.
