  1. In my book, not nearly as cool as driving around in say a '69 Charger or GTX.
  2. Just wait 'til your insurance company here's that you bought a Demon, you will pay big-time.
  3. No, way more stuff than that. When I was working construction at the Naval base in 2002-2003 I was getting paid extra to use my pickup truck, and I sometimes had it loaded higher than the top of the cab. That's what you call "haulin."
  4. I spent $820 this morning without leaving my driveway as I was out there cutting up some branches to get rid of, and the landscaper came by. I told him what I needed done, he gave me a price and I said do it. A short while later the roofer came by and I told him what I needed, he went up on the roof and checked it out and gave me a price also. I said do it. While I know that a lot of people can spend money online, these things have to be looked at before a price can be given. I'm glad that I didn't need any other estimates today.
  5. Nice truck, however it doesn't look the same without all the junk in the bed.
  6. An excellent choice as it is one sweet lookin' ride.
  7. I recently saw the JoHan '69 Road Runner kits goin' for 'bout $90, as they're becoming harder to come by lately. $35 in 2010 is seven years ago, and not just the other day.
  8. Most all of my builds are in 1/25th scale, however I just finished a 1/24th scale Coronet R/T and there's really not much difference in size, and I'm hopin' to start the Revell '70 Road Runner kit soon which is also in 1/24th scale.
  9. I just love dem Mopars!
  10. You can also find those wheels at Competition Resins, and Chief Joseph at Fireball Model Works has some drag radials I believe.
  11. I was thinkin' the scoops were separate also as I believe the body is the same as the new issue F & F Charger, no? I did see the built up of the '70 Charger R/T at the Revell display at the Milwaukee NNL this past Saturday. It was lookin' good and now its at the top of my "buy list,"
  12. Very nice as I've seen those on the highway when I vacation in Florida.
  13. I have three of Jimmy Flintstone's resin bodies and there's really not a lot of flash on any of them, just some. Jimmy belongs to one of the clubs that I belong to and he's a great guy, and some of our club members have made masters for Jimmy also. He should be vending at the NNL East, so stop by and say hello.
  14. Another source for A & N fittings and braided line in 1/25th scale is Pro Tech and they have some really nice stuff.
  15. They are a "tad" too wide as they're 295's. I've seen 275's on a 1:1 R/T and they're just right. Unfortunately Chief Joseph doesn't make 275's. The front tires are also a tad too wide. Notice how the raised white letters on the tires are to scale and don't look like bill boards.
  16. I know the feeling oh so well as 40 years ago my dad passed away, my son died at 8 1/2 months old, and my wife moved out, all in 11 months time. Hang in there.
  17. I too am lookin' to buy some parts from Scenes Unlimited as I've talked to Danny at our club meetings and also at the Milwaukee NNL yesterday. He has some really nice stuff available now with more coming up in the near future.
  18. Mark, that tail light panel is from Hart's Parts. The R/T emblems on the quarter panels are decals from Mike's Scale Speed Shop and I put an R/T emblem on the grille from the '68 Charger kit. The 440 engine is the standard engine for the R/T with a 4-bbl carb so I ditched the Six-Pack set up. I didn't have any suitable stock exhaust tips, so I just made some from aluminum tubing. The dog dish hub caps were finished with Spaz-Stix.
  19. Using the Revell 1/24th Super Bee kit, I converted it to the R/T model. The paint is PPG lacquer and of course I used BMF. I kept the 6-Pack hood as well. This is a "stripe delete" car and I used the wheels, tires, and dog dishes from Fireball Models as well as the 750 cfm electric choke carb. The intake manifold is a reworked resin piece. Notice the raised lettering on the sidewalls are to scale and don't look like bill boards. I added valve stems, seat belts, antenna, and exhaust tips as well. The R/T emblems (decals) are from Mike's Scale Speed Shop and the front emblem on the grille was from the '68 Charger kit.
  20. The Revell display was really nice at the Milwaukee NNL yesterday and that '70 Charger R/T along with the '48 (?) Foose Caddy Eldo looked really good to me. The built up of the Thunderbolt looked great also, but I don't think that I would build it if I had bought it.
  21. Sounds like you and your better half have a good plan. I hope that it works out and that you both enjoy retirement.
  22. I bought my die-cast cars for ME so that I could enjoy having them, and not as an investment for future sales. Mine will still be here when I join Harry.
