  1. I saw that car last year at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Show in Rosemont, Il which is just outside of Chicago. Here's a photo of it.
  2. I thought that one of the drivers was a bit taller and heavier than the other, no?
  3. Wow that's a lotta motor in that wagon, and I like it. I myself would have put the battery in the back behind the right wheel well for better weight distribution. I know guys with 1:1 street cars that get the weight of the battery (45-60 lbs) out of the engine compartment and put it in the trunk. Not only will the car "launch" better, it should handle better in the turns without all that weight up front. Nice build on that wagon.
  4. Even though I'm partial to the '66 Batmobile, that would be a sight to see cruisin' through the 'hood.
  5. Aren't those headers in the Thunderbolt kit, or no?
  6. While I'm not much of a pickup truck builder, I'm thinkin' that we really need a couple of Dodge pickup truck kits, even repops of the MPC Dodge truck kits seem like they would be welcomed.
  7. IF it were me, I would've retired on MY terms and not be at the mercy of all my customers. Some customers are hoarding parts and kits to sell at a later date, and I'm supposed to bust my butt for those reasons??? No way.
  8. I've only had a couple of those "leakers" over the past few years, and I just toss 'em.
  9. Forty nine, enjoy life while you can, and not you can't go back to being 21 again either as this is no "dress rehearsal." Hopefully you'll have many good years ahead of you as many people don't.
  10. I wear glasses, so that is eye protection and I always have safety glasses when using my Skill saw or Sawzall, as modern medicine has come a long way in the past 50 years but they still haven't found a way to replace the eye.
  11. Hmmm, I wonder if Harts Parts will offer the GTX grille?
  12. Congrats Michael, and good luck on your retirement.
  13. No red in this grille.................................
  14. I never shake the bottle of paint, and I too clean the bottle lip and usually don't have any problems opening them. However once in a "blue moon" I get a tight lid and usually I can open it by putting a rubber band around the lid and that gives me a good grip. No need for pliers.
  15. Attending model car club meetings, shows, swap meets, 1:1 car shows and cruise nights seem to give me enough motivation to build more, however I would still like even "more" motivation.
  16. I really have enough kits to build, and could easily do well without any more new releases or re-issues.
  17. NOW yer talkin', bring 'em on!!!
  18. I've been using Testor's bottled paints for many years for detailing, painting engines, parts, etc. and never had a problem with their lids.
  19. I've used Krylon Short Cuts Gloss Black that I bought at Hobby Lobby under my Spaz-Stix and it works great.
  20. No it didn't, as I was lookin' at two '70 Coronet's when I was hunting for my present ride and never saw any red in the grilles.
  21. The "pitchfork hood" can be had from Harts Parts.
  22. Always "running late?" When I was working, if I ran late a few times I would be running to the unemployment office as my employers didn't need guys who ran late.
  23. I had a doctors appointment today and was several minutes early, then after the appointed time, I had to wait a good 25 minutes to see the doc. What, his time is valuable, but mine is not? If the doctor is late or running behind schedule, I should be told this at the desk when I sign in. Seems to me like doctors have no rules.
  24. You mean to say that the new Dodge Demon is a "High Octane" model? That's a lot of octane just to haul groceries.
  25. If you're not going to display the car upside down, and are really just lookin' for a chassis. I would use one from the Tri-Five Chevy kits.
