  1. I would call MCW and maybe Dave Dodge could help you out.
  2. Some of the '47 Chevy Coupes have been shipped already, but there was a packaging glitch. Hopefully they'll be on the shelves soon, as Gary want this to happen just as much as you guys want the kit, believe me.
  3. What did you expect as multiple mortars is kinda a "given" on the 4th of July, no?
  4. The only way I "decant" clear is to spray it right on a body out of the can without mixing, thinning, setting the right air pressure, water traps, compressors, dehydrators, etc. I also shoot my clear 24 hours after my color coats and never had any problems.
  5. Good luck behind the wheel, you're gonna need it.
  6. I just did a two-tone paint job last week. I use 3-M tan masking tape, which as been around for years. After spraying the lighter color and masking, I shoot clear along the tape edge so if there's any bleed through it will be...........................BINGO! Clear. Then I spray my darker color and remove the tape in an hour or two. Piece of cake.
  7. Movies??? I never knew they showed movies at the Drive-Ins, since when?
  8. Lookin' good on that Miss Deal kit so far. I had finished one earlier this year.
  9. Nice lookin' Texan, and I see that you brush painted it. I had built one last year with the Glenview Naval Air Station markings to hang from my ceiling in my den/hobby room and it was the first plane kit that I had built since the mid-50's. Hope to start on another plane kit in the near future.
  10. I have 'bout 60% of my kits still sealed, and while I have several JoHan kits, I made sure that I opened and checked them for "tire burn."
  11. Yes, that would be a good choice to use the Road Runner kit as a donor car.
  12. I sprayed Testors Ultra Gloss today, and it looks great. I'll polish it out after a week or so of "gassing out."
  13. Calnaga Castings has a nice jet drive for boat kits, however you must remember that prop drive boats are faster than jet drives. I followed drag boat racing as well as Unlimited Hydro Plane racing back in the 90's for 'bout 7-8 years. It was a blast.
  14. Congrats Wayne, and I hope it's a big one. Reason is that with a lot of empty space in your display cabinet it makes one build more to fill up the shelves. I have two curio cabinets, one in the living room, and one in the family room to display my built models and my die cast collection. They look good, and my better half is okay with them.
  15. The Ranchero IS coming, trust me........................................
  16. Tommy Olsen, pictures why would you need pictures? the Holthaus's been running their operation for years without pictures, and very successfully also. An increase in sales? There are only three people doing all the work, and maybe they don't want to work day and night. They have a great resin business with great sales and references. There you go trying to fix something that isn't broke.
  17. I agree with mrm that many of you are taking this hobby WAAAAY too seriously and get to excited about the little things. I thought this hobby was supposed to be FUN and enjoyable. You can ease your frustrations buy not buying ANY more kits and just building the ones you already have. After awhile the model companies will go broke and shut down all together, which is okay by me.
  18. Our local Dog 'N Suds still uses "car hops" today as I was there on this past Saturday night. However "back-in-the-day" when I lived in Chicago, we'd drive to Skip's Fiesta in Maywood as that was the place to be. Car hops, hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trailered cars, etc. It was "hot rod heaven." I only wished that I had taken photos back then, but I do remember the scene very well and glad that I used to hang out there. What a BLAST!
  19. Nice, but I was wondering if you made a Briggs & Stratton engine as well? Thanks.
  20. That Tri-Five came out lookin' good Jesse, nice job!
  21. Very nice collection Lance, and if I'm ever out your way I'd like to check 'em out.
  22. No 2016 Camaro yet? Boy are they "hot" lookin'.
  23. NO rain here today, so I was able to go to a cruise night at the local Dog 'N Suds and the place was packed. Lots of nice cars to look at and lots of friendly people as well. A great time, and it pleased me.
