  1. That '61 Chevy is beautiful, but it needs some "lake plugs" behind the front tires just like "back-in-the-day."
  2. While I don't paint metal parts, I've heard that other guys use a self-etching primer. Hopefully someone else will chime in and give you some advise.
  3. Thanks for the info Tom. BTW I like your avatar of Gabby Bleaker as I remember watching him run that altered back in the mid 60's .
  4. I really like the two race cars on the trailer Lance, real nice!
  5. Very nice job on that "bowtie" and yes more rubber in the rear does help not only in appearance, but handling as well.
  6. Thanks, but R&R are out of business, as far as I know.
  7. Will you be buying some of those Tom, for your family, or no?
  8. Very nice lookin' build on that "bowtie" Ted.
  9. Does any resin caster make a Willys Sedan body, or no? TIA
  10. Although a little light in attendance last night, the S.L.A.M. meeting was great with lots of groups of conversation, snacks, camaraderie, and a soggy ride home.
  11. I know that I won't ever build as good as some people I know or have met, however I do push myself at times, and other times I don't. I DO build for myself and try to keep it fun as it is a HOBBY to me. I'm not a "trophy hound" and I build for myself, and mostly stay in my "comfort zone."
  12. I believe we had a Nordic Spa for 'bout 12 years and it was great, especially when the weather got a bit chillier. We had ours outside and could just step off our deck into it. In the winter, the hardest part was taking off your robe and entering the tub. I kept it at a constant 95 degrees when I was not in it, and when I was I would bump the stat to 104 degrees which is only 6 degrees above body temp. It was awesome to be sitting in the spa drinking a beer and seeing steam rise from the tub as the snow was all around the tub. Getting out was a piece of cake, as I was able to dry off, put on the robe and ditch the trunks, put the cover back on the tub and go inside. After all your body is nice and warm from getting out of the relaxing warm tub. Go for it!
  13. Hmmm, I don't have a Pay Pal account, and it seems to be working out well for me.
  14. Wish I could be there as I haven't been in the Denver area since 2005, and I had a blast!
  15. Yes, Steve I believe I have a set of your decals, and they are TOP quality decals.
  16. I've seen the Gurney cars and Acapulco Blue would probably be close as Brett had already mentioned that.
  17. Yeah I saw that on their website, and if it does get released this month I'll get one and put it on the "pile" as I already have enough kits that I'm workin' on right now. I've got kits that I bought a year ago still with the shrink wrap intact. While I enjoy the hobby very much, if ALL the model companies went "belly up" tonight it wouldn't faze me one bit.
  18. Very nice build on that Fury Al, and I just love dem Mopars!
  19. Yeah sometimes my "motivation" leaves me for awhile, even though I go to model car club meetings, car shows, cruise nights, and sometimes to nostalgia drag racing at the strip. Other times I get all "jacked up" and want to start ;bout 8 more kits. LOL! It's hard to figure out, so I just go with the flow.
  20. REAL nice build on that Mopar looong roof, and all it needs is a pushbar and a pair of slicks on the roof rack. LOL!
  21. Welcome back to the hobby Ken.
  22. Yep Ken, I don't really care what happens to my un-built kits when I'm gone. However I hope that my built kits are kept preserved in my curio cabinet as well as my die-cast collection.
  23. Yes GrumpyGrowly, it looks exactly like that on and thanks for posting. I do have problems posting pics form my Photobucket on this forum, but not others.
  24. The stance makes it look more like a 4 x 4 rather than a gasser, and I hafta agree with Ben 'bout the hood also.
