I usually go to that show, however I'm going to a 1:1 car show that morning instead. Besides I don't need any MORE stuff, only more motivatiion. I should be there at the February show as it's always a good time for me and I see lots of people I've known from over the years.
Nice job on the Baron as I built one years ago and wish that I still had it. Doesn't the helmet come chrome plated anymore like it used to? I have been thinking about building another one, however I also think about building everything else under the sun too.
I juist called the Danbury Mint this morning to order a car and it was NO longer available. It was the '50 "Bulletnose" Studebaker Champion convertible, guess I should have ordered it months ago. Oh well, I did order the hardtop.
I sometimes ship kits to my buddy out west and I take care in packaging so that they arrive in good condition as I don't want any headaches. I would expect the same if I were receiving anything in the mail also. Come on guys, it's not rocket science.
If you're lookin' for something "outside" the box, go to your local furniture store and buy a "curio cabinet" as it will have glass shelves, mirrors, and a light also and it will look good in any part of your home. But be prepared to pay $500 +.
While I'm sure it would look good when finished, it looks like too much work for a dizzy and I prefer to buy mine from M.A.D. as he has great products ready to use.
That's a great lookin' "pony" as I too have a collection of die-cast mostly of Danbury & Franklin MInts. Mine are cars of the 50's as I really like the fins, the styling, and the two and three toned paint jobs.
