  1. Here's one I built about 30 years ago and I wish that I had another case of those kits.
  2. I usually go to that show, however I'm going to a 1:1 car show that morning instead. Besides I don't need any MORE stuff, only more motivatiion. I should be there at the February show as it's always a good time for me and I see lots of people I've known from over the years.
  3. Nice job on the Baron as I built one years ago and wish that I still had it. Doesn't the helmet come chrome plated anymore like it used to? I have been thinking about building another one, however I also think about building everything else under the sun too.
  4. Great job Shane, thanks. I can always use more ideas while waiting for MORE motivation.
  5. I juist called the Danbury Mint this morning to order a car and it was NO longer available. It was the '50 "Bulletnose" Studebaker Champion convertible, guess I should have ordered it months ago. Oh well, I did order the hardtop.
  6. I sometimes ship kits to my buddy out west and I take care in packaging so that they arrive in good condition as I don't want any headaches. I would expect the same if I were receiving anything in the mail also. Come on guys, it's not rocket science.
  7. I use Testors "rattlecans" a lot and have not encountered this problem at all.
  8. Great job on that Hemi Dart as it looks awesome!
  9. Nice build as my second car was a '65 Corvair Corsa that I bought new and it had the four carbs, four speed, and posi. It was a lot of fun.
  10. If you're lookin' for something "outside" the box, go to your local furniture store and buy a "curio cabinet" as it will have glass shelves, mirrors, and a light also and it will look good in any part of your home. But be prepared to pay $500 +.
  11. That BeeGee looks great and I hope to build a couple of planes this coming winter as I haven't since the 50's.
  12. I'm very sorry for your loss and you have my condolences as I too at one time lost a child. May God help you overcome these hard times.
  13. You could always yank the Olds engine from the new '50 Olds kit and put it in there too.
  14. Does anybody use a "downflow" oaint booth and are there any readily available? TIA
  15. Even MORE kits? I'm not done with the ones I already have. It seems like we're in a vicious circle, no?
  16. What or which wheels???
  17. Looks bitchin'!
  18. I believe I might have saw an ad for that show in the "other mag" as well.
  19. While I'm sure it would look good when finished, it looks like too much work for a dizzy and I prefer to buy mine from M.A.D. as he has great products ready to use.
  20. That's a great lookin' "pony" as I too have a collection of die-cast mostly of Danbury & Franklin MInts. Mine are cars of the 50's as I really like the fins, the styling, and the two and three toned paint jobs.
  21. Yes I know their business hours. Oh, they are 9 - 6 EST Mon.- Sat. and are great to deal with and have excellent products also. The phone number is (410) 768-3648.
  22. You're right about that as life in the Chicagoland area back in the 50's and 60's were great times. The food is still great though.
  23. Great lookin' seatz and Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland also offers "bomber" seats only in resin.
