This looks great. I like to see resto builds -
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to keep your model room or display cases dust free? I feel like no matter what ive tried, my displayed models become caked with dust in a short amount of time. I have to dig them out and clean them by hand because the compressed cans of air don't help. I have a plug in air purifier but not sure if its doing much help either.

This is the first time ive ever seen this done in model form. The real one is on display at our state fair every year and Ive got a couple pictures of it. This is spot on, great job.

did a good job on it. -
I received this kit already built in pretty bad shape . The paint was in several layers and super thick. Glue was everywhere. All of the glass was either missing or beyond repair so thanks to "Randy D" for saving me with new glass! I stripped all of the paint and started it over, here are the results.

This was a fairly quick build that is based on a real 1:1 that LAPD uses as a PR tool. Homemade decals, all the chrome accents were done with my new chrome pen (highly recommended). Revell kit w/ Model Master Lacquers.

detailed the motor a little & mounted it to the chassis. you can see that not all of the glue from the previous builder was removed.

Purchased this one as a junker. It was already assembled with tons of glue everywhere and terrible paint. I stripped away all the original paint and salvaged what I could to rebuild it. The color is testor's firery orange over flat black which made it to GM "Sunset Orange Metallic". All the body paint is finished , currently working on everything else. Original paint: New paint, pre-polished: After Polishing & adding decals

this build was based off a 1:1 that I saw at a car show. The kit is the AMT baldwin Motion Camaro, I decided against the side exit pipes after having problems with the exhaust manifolds. I also had a lot of problems getting the front end of the chassis to mount correctly. Paint is plain Testor's white with one coat clear that was polished out. Everything is pretty much out of box except for the stripes.

This is sweet, I never knew these were ever casted. Reminds me of Hodges' car from the movie Colors.

sweet build, love the color. -
Great build. I am doing a similar custom theme but with a 50's ford & modern ford parts The Vette Mods on this are awesome. I will need to acquire that model vette kit now for some ideas of my own, care to share which kit(s) you used for the Wheels, Motor, suspension?

Have you ever built a kit where it seemed like everything went wrong? That was my struggle with this one. Ive had the kit in various stages for a few years and finally decided to finish it. When I first started it, I had an idea for a slammed custom frame truck with airbags etc. So I scratch built a frame and cut into the bed of the truck to make room for the large tires which would be sitting deep inside of the bed. After pulling the kit back out a few weeks ago I scratched the custom idea and just decided to slam it as a curbside and be done with it. I had fit issues with virtually all the body parts due to my earlier plans. Final assembly was very frustrating but I got it done. Wont be winning anything with this one, but its a decent shelf model.

What did you use for the longer side glass in the suburban? -
Im a real big fan of this color. Anyone have any suggestions of a rattle can manufacturer that makes something close to this?

Slick build. To echo everyone else, Whats the color!

I took one of the original rallye wheels and cut the lip off of it. Then placed the lip on top of another rallye wheel. Essentially it was a homemade wheel sleeve. Thanks
