  1. Well done replicating your truck, can see you put in a lot of effort with the detail work.
  2. Look forward to following along with the build. Seriously cool custom truck. I remember Mark Gustavson's version he was building, but I dont recall if he finished it or not.
  3. I like how Aoshima puts guide lines in the kit glass, makes it super easy to open up the side door windows. Which I did. Last update pics on this build, will be Under Glass in a couple days.
  4. My bad, I forgot as its not used very often. Tamiya half round diamond file for P.E only. Much better using that than regular file.
  5. As always excellent work on the scratch building and kit bashing Ismo. All round a great looking bad ass build that showcases all your skills. Well done.
  6. Nice one, thats a BMW coupe I like the shape/styling of. As time permits keep chipping away at it mate, you will get it done. Speaking of BMF and completion's, got some applied to the Hakosuka im working on and trying to complete.
  7. Applied some BMF to the Hakosuka.
  8. Yeah its good to have some Aussie cars to share, but man they are very challenging to build. Always good to finish up stalled builds. Thanks for checking in Peter. Thanks Nigel, always appreciate you sussing out the builds and commenting. Laurel stalled out as I cant decide on the paint. Guess I could always paint it black LOL! Nah il do something different probably like the box art, but different colours. Its got a bit of that bosozoku/zokusha styling to it, so kinda needs a flashy paint job. I really like the shape and styling of the C130, especially with the radical fender flares. You would have seen the Sunny when I showed the pics in What Did You Accomplish Today topic. Thanks, it certainly lives up to its name of bright red.
  9. For files I like Vallorbe. Pricey but you get what you par for, quality. This set ive had for about 13 years, bit grotty but still sharp. Bought a back up set couple years back. Also can get the same brand re labelled under Wave, single file package. Got some out of Japan couple years back. I have a few of the hobby brand name sprue cutters. And out of all of them I prefer the Zoukei Mura Pro Zetsu Nippers as they are the sharpest. And the tip will fit into tight gates. And I also use the Meng ones a lot to flush cut the gates.
  10. All of the one's contained in here and the few other wip threads I have started. Easily achievable if I can stay motivated.
  11. Another Ford. LOL! Nice job on the paint work, colour is a good match for a stock build.
  12. Bit of progress on the interior parts for the Hakosuka. A technique I use on gauges sometimes. Cover the face in BMF. Cover with paint. Thought id try a bit of pre shading.
  13. Its good and bad seeing all the stalled builds in one group shot. Good that some are already painted, so hard part is out the way. But bad because of how many there are. All good, a reminder and push will be helpful to get me motivated to work on the Stang again. Thanks for always following along Martin.
  14. Excellent work on the wheel mods, got that nice deep dish in the rear now. Hobby Design, T2M Tuner Model Factory make aluminium wheels sleeves. Also check out some of the the 3D printing guys, might be able to ask them to print some sleeves.
  15. Great job all round, well done.
  16. Turned out great Bob. Tidy looking ute. Liking the blacked out bumpers and grill against the coral blue. Cool trick you used with the scripts, looks to have worked very well. Going to be interesting to see what you build next after seeing the recent completions.
  17. Forgive me if this has already been posted by someone else. But I only came across the video today. Impressive to see all the different processes involved to achieve the build.
  18. Cant go wrong with Tamiya spray can black, excellent paint job and foil work.
  19. Indeed a very cool build, great idea well executed. Can see why your lad loves it.
  20. Great looking T-Bird Steve. Excellent colour selection, all the mods and kit bash parts all come together to make a very unique custom. Such a cool looking car. Well done.
  21. Good job on the foil work Bob, most definitely worth the effort. Chrome go's so well with that colour.
  22. As mentioned the Hakosuka 4 door is up on the bench first. I dont not take the building of these kits seriously at all, just fun builds to maintain skills, try new techniques and can be great quick build slump busters. And they are something different This is the kit that it is being built from. Has a few options for parts, which is good fun picking a combo of parts to use and build up my own version. Kinda like the 3n1 kits by other the manufacturers. Picked out the interior parts. Although I did change my mind with the steering wheel after taking this pic. Very basic, easy to work with and detail paint. I like the stock seats, they work out good for bucket style seats with the head rest removed. All parts were cleaned up and prepared. Applied the usual 1500 grey and black finishing surfacer's. Nice warm day tomorrow 38'C/100'F, should dry/cure these parts in no time.
  23. Tri fives look great in that colour combo.
  24. I have so many idea's for burn out cars, need to get these couple out the way to start some new ones. It will be a journey to complete them all. Holden made the best ute's, so many cool style's and shapes.
  25. Thanks for the interest Bob. The paint on the Nissan Cedric is done with wet wipes that are dried out and stretched out over the surface. Undecided on how I want to finish the paint work, possibly some fading and pearl over coat. So not much to finish it really, just a small amount of paint work. These were some test pieces I was trying out the paint technique.
