  1. What a great twist on the Paddy Wagon. X2 Very impressive to see all the work you put into extra detail work and features. Your efforts paid of to achieve such a unique and very cool build.
  2. Done well. I like the look without the rear quarter panel molding. Look forward to seeing your next version. The more builds I see of this snap kit, the more I itch to dig one out the stash and build. Soon......
  3. Craft beading and jewelry wire. Lots of sizes available. The right spool is 0.3mm, the left spool is 0.5mm and 32 gauge for return springs.
  4. Ive always wanted to do a triple black Lowrider. Black paint job, black interior and black wheels. But have some chrome to separate all the black. So after doing this wheel mock ive decided that's how the 62 Bel Air will be built.
  5. Thanks for checking in Bob. Just a few LOL! Yeah black is my favorite. I will do others colour's when I get bored with black, want to do something different or be inspired by a 1:1. More than willing to share the process I use for the black paint jobs, but unfortunately I dont have the courage to do a video tutorial sorry. Thanks, its something different. Not my best foil job but looks the part, so its all good. Yeah made from sprue frame's.
  6. Yep agree, all the chrome will bring it altogether. Look forward to seeing the trim work done.
  7. Next up on the bench. I have already built a 62 Bel Air, but got this kit for next to nothing due to a broken C pillar from ole mate Ray some years back. Started building and got it painted in 2020 then stalled until now. Decided to go all black on this one after building my 61 Chevrolet Not sure about the wheels anymore, might change to something else. Engine is partially done, need some linkage detail.
  8. Thank you for all the comments much appreciated.
  9. Started this kit at the beginning of 2021, got it painted in preparation for a winter build. But got distracted with other things and other kits, so it sat lingering on the shelf until last week when I decided it was time to catch up on some of my stalled builds. Some wip pics are here. The kit. Lots of optional parts, so picked a combo and built my own version. Wheels My usual colour combo Really like building these Aoshima kits, easy fun builds.
  10. Pre-ordered, really looking forward to building this kit. Going to be a fun build, especially the engine.
  11. Finished up this build, just needs a bit of a clean, then a photo shoot and will be Under Glass asap.
  12. Good job on all the detail work, looks to be a great kit. Cool little scene you set up with the wheel change over. And of course I really like the colour combo. Well done.
  13. Done well, very clean work with the masking.
  14. Well done replicating your truck, can see you put in a lot of effort with the detail work.
  15. Look forward to following along with the build. Seriously cool custom truck. I remember Mark Gustavson's version he was building, but I dont recall if he finished it or not.
  16. I like how Aoshima puts guide lines in the kit glass, makes it super easy to open up the side door windows. Which I did. Last update pics on this build, will be Under Glass in a couple days.
  17. My bad, I forgot as its not used very often. Tamiya half round diamond file for P.E only. Much better using that than regular file.
  18. As always excellent work on the scratch building and kit bashing Ismo. All round a great looking bad ass build that showcases all your skills. Well done.
  19. Nice one, thats a BMW coupe I like the shape/styling of. As time permits keep chipping away at it mate, you will get it done. Speaking of BMF and completion's, got some applied to the Hakosuka im working on and trying to complete.
  20. Applied some BMF to the Hakosuka.
  21. Yeah its good to have some Aussie cars to share, but man they are very challenging to build. Always good to finish up stalled builds. Thanks for checking in Peter. Thanks Nigel, always appreciate you sussing out the builds and commenting. Laurel stalled out as I cant decide on the paint. Guess I could always paint it black LOL! Nah il do something different probably like the box art, but different colours. Its got a bit of that bosozoku/zokusha styling to it, so kinda needs a flashy paint job. I really like the shape and styling of the C130, especially with the radical fender flares. You would have seen the Sunny when I showed the pics in What Did You Accomplish Today topic. Thanks, it certainly lives up to its name of bright red.
  22. For files I like Vallorbe. Pricey but you get what you par for, quality. This set ive had for about 13 years, bit grotty but still sharp. Bought a back up set couple years back. Also can get the same brand re labelled under Wave, single file package. Got some out of Japan couple years back. I have a few of the hobby brand name sprue cutters. And out of all of them I prefer the Zoukei Mura Pro Zetsu Nippers as they are the sharpest. And the tip will fit into tight gates. And I also use the Meng ones a lot to flush cut the gates.
  23. All of the one's contained in here and the few other wip threads I have started. Easily achievable if I can stay motivated.
  24. Another Ford. LOL! Nice job on the paint work, colour is a good match for a stock build.
  25. Bit of progress on the interior parts for the Hakosuka. A technique I use on gauges sometimes. Cover the face in BMF. Cover with paint. Thought id try a bit of pre shading.
