Might not be interested in working on some build's at the moment, but that wont stop me from buying ? Chevelle kit will be donating its engine to another build, Camaro will be donating its engine and driveline to another build. And I think the Marauder will be done as the custom, but for now they will all be added to the stash. More display cases.

Thanks Al and Allan. Appreciate the suggestion as that exact thing has been bugging me and plan to add some strip to sort it out, want to get the body work sides done then move on to finishing the roof and pillars. Who knows when that will be, as I just have zero interest or motivation to build at the moment ☹️

There is no definitive what to use and how to use it. Best thing to do is search Google and Youtube , read and watch as much you want. But in the end, its about working out your budget and what you think will work for you. Personally I learnt a lot from Don's site when I first looked into using an airbrush. He has done a lot of testing with all the various airbrush brands. Dons Airbrush Tips Again il recommend this guy, his channel is full of lots of information. Barbatos Rex

The like is useful when what you want to post has already been said, easier just to hit the like button on a build or post to prevent being repetitive. Who liked something is not really that important, as its just an acknowledgement of what was posted.

For most, if not all lacquers. 1:1 or 1:1.5 There is a plenty of new paint's out there now a days, that there is no need to use Testors or Model Master anymore. they are from a by gone era. In Australia we have two hobby paint suppliers, SMS paints and Outlaw paints. They both produce ready to spray acrylic lacquer which is quality and super easy to shoot through an airbrush. Im certain there are suppliers in the US who also produce ready to use airbrush paint maybe you could see whats available. Model Car World is a name that often is mentioned on here and they have very specific paints. Also you could check this guy out, he has done a lot of testing with many brands of paint. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_66OBQNO8jXkHjlxnnxT-A/videos

Its the digital age and thats where the younger generations have grown up and spent there time, the online virtual world is their playground. They are a good introduction to modelling due to the simplicity, low parts count and no painting. Which is perfect for kids. And for the experienced modeler they are cheap kits which can be used to get out of a slump, try a new paint or develop skills and techniques. Better to learn on a cheapy snap kit than a pricey full detail kit. Sometimes a snap kit is just about having some fun and actually getting something built. Yeah it looks toy like I agree But with a bit of effort and not taking it too serious they can build up ok.

My interpretation of the build off is to replicate a past build with the knowledge, tools, paint and parts I have at present. As Snake said "make it better".

Needed some styrene strip for my Nova ute build, so got that and few other things from BNA Model World. Can never have enough display cases. And couldnt help myself, had to get a kit.

Waiting on some styrene strip to arrive so I can re-do the drip rail and add some new trim. But in the meantime have done a small amount of body work to fill the rear door lines. Want to keep the side trim so it has been a bit tedious. Door lines have nearly disappeared, but need to work on the trim a bit more. Put a coat of primer on to check and help see were things are at. Roof has a couple spots to sort out, but its pretty good for the first go around. Have only used a file and 600 grit so far. Still a few scratch's visible. Used this primer as it wont bury detail, can easily be sanded and cleaned of with hobby grade lacquer thinner.

Yeah was a lucky choice as they are a good fit for the interior. Thanks Greg, can be fun to slice and dice but has its challenges to piece it back together cleanly.

It's ok Steve. It's just a hobby and it's just a model car kit and each individual will enjoy it in their own way.

Did I ask for any info on the kit, no I did not. Was merely sharing what I had got today and my intention to build my version/my way. And no where did I say I was wanting to build a dead nutz replica either. Im capable of reading and doing my own research to learn what I need to build what and how I want. Whether thats right or wrong I just dont care. As long as im happy with my build, thats all that matters to me. If people want to chime in and give a history lesson or be the info guy thats cool, just dont assume without asking a person intentions with a kit or build.

Put me down as another who enjoyed the WIP thread, turned out super smooth and clean. Very impressive.

A few more kits, always on the look out for JDM kits with engines, so had to get the Prelude. Got the Supra just for the decals and the Chevelle for the Donk wheels and engine.

Thanks mate. Was challenging for sure, still have more work to do to finish it of, then move onto the next task of body prep. Got some new seats for the build today. Not going to use the head rests.

Mega haul today, Japan and US order's arrived same day again, also had Australian BNA Model World order arrive and got some kits from the local Aldi store. Plaza Japan kits that were pre ordered a month ago. The 430 Cedric has some awesome Cragar SS style wheels, Aoshima used them in the old Hot Rod 330 Cedric kit. Model Round Up. Yeah I got another ProShop and more wheels. BNA Model World. And finally got these kits at the local Aldi, amazing to see Revell kits being sold there especially in a small regional town. Now I got to try find room for all this stuff, I really got to stop buying kits.

Im a fan of the DZ's, but not sure about the wide whites. Its your build, so roll with what you like.

Didnt like how short the roof was so glued it back onto wagon piece and added 3mm. Then I messed up the C pillar. So decided to scratch build some B pillars and window surround. Scribed a new door line.
