  1. I got a Rock! Seriously, I got a 1/18 Diecast of a 197x Opel GT Very nicely done by Minichamps. I had one when new, Then started collecting them in the early 80's in an attempt to keep the one I bought then on the road. You acquire a few parts cars when dealing with an orphan car.
  2. There should be a smiley face with no mouth outline...BECAUSE I AM SPEECHLESS!!!
  3. Yes,always "The faster I go, The behinder I get"
  4. Very nicely done! The Trim around the windows looks great.
  5. I agree with Bill, The parts count is light, and the motor isn't an EM item either, but the body was molded very fine and almost delicate. Mine was molded in red so painting was weird. I'll see if I can find it and shoot some pics.
  6. This is looking fantastic. Wonder how it would be in 1/18th? I had a '66 Chevy II SS with the L-79 option. My first car!
  7. You need to strain out that gunk in the bottom. The SC keeps on breaking that stuff down and it weakens it.
  8. Nice start. I'm too chicken to post WIP. Most look like a fresh kill with a dull knife
  9. Watching this one ! I have it in the stash. I'm thinking of changing the headlites to something round so I can drop a MV lens in there.
  10. I tried to register but the password keeps kicking back? This has to be the longest password Í have ever experienced. Usually it's something short, then a captcha to weed out bots.
  11. I got a new faucet for my kitchen, and on Friday I got two airbrushes (one's a Badger 100) for $30.00!!
  12. Find anything circular(like a coin) and paint the center. Drop the circular mask on the center held with a dab of Liquitape then paint the rim.
  13. uh... my kitchen table?
  14. That looks very nice! That's a model I seldom see displayed anywhere. The way you did the chassis reminds me of how I use to apply rust - proofing in the late '60's. Great work on both.
  15. So was the Emperor.
  16. I have that model in 1/43. It was also done in a different color, a Metallic rose? The front is long as Pontiac use a straight 8 to power it.
  17. I would vac form the entire roof in clear including the frame work, then just BMF the frame work. Trying to make the roof sections hinge look almost impossible from where my skills sit. You don't mention what equipment you have to do vac forming, or what the nature of the failures. The rest of the build looks great.
  18. X4 or whatever. I also suggest trying a very dark blue (think Royal Blue) under the Alclad.
  19. Killer build!
  20. And there is a '56 Continental Mark II. I had one of those but sold it for parts. I did keep the taillights which are little more refined than on the example you posted.
  21. Oh wow! That was one of the first Photo-etch saw sets I bought! probably in the mid '90's.
  22. I don't think I'd want anyone to see my WIP's .... they might vomit
  23. I knew that. I just didn't want to show off.
  24. WOW!!! and I've been whining about building in 1/16th!!!
