  1. "Tears are for eyes ; tears are for pants."
  2. I'm curious, too. However, when I saw the images which @tim boyd shared, the tail lamp bezels appear to be the sans-back-up-lamps type* , which is correct for a "lesser" trim level (the 500 had back-up lamps as standard). * =back-up ( reverse, et alia ) lamps weren't mandated until the 1965 calendar year - take the "1964 1/2" Mustang as an example : no back-up lamps
  3. Allman Brothers Eat a Peach is my favourite album of theirs from 1972
  4. Love the gritty , film noir-esque look and feel to the scenes of Chicago (and heretofore , Harvey , etc.) in The Blues Brothers
  5. Thanks for the photos and accompanying text , @tim boyd ! FWIW, I'd feel compelled to add a "correct" 8.75" differential - "correct" based upon the 1965's being the last year for the 8.75" diff, irrespective of transmission ; the Dana 60 coming along for 1966 (and likely within the rules for Modified Production , Gas, etc., classes, when upgraded on the 1965's).
  6. Repeats the same behaviours on Martha's Vineyard as she did in Harvey, Illinois
  7. So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star features South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela on the studio version and the live version from Monterey Pop Festival
  8. Keeps me away from returning to the other modelling I did in me twenties
  9. Soft Machine was a Freak Beat / Psychedelic band from England which was formed in 1966 ; their name is from the William Burroughs's book of the same name
  10. It's hit or miss with our animal companions. I never would've imagined that Tao would take to Emily the way he did, and in the manner in which he did ! He fell for her immediately ; she took to him with no hesitancy . They're getting on just the way I'd hoped they would .
  11. Service and clean the laser inside the CD , DVD, and Laserdisc player, to make sure it's not off-centre.
  12. Thicc Caturday
  13. Asked how the SBC in my '72 Nova from AMT became a "383", my answer was "I bored it a scale .030 and added the crank from the AMT Parts Pack."
  14. "Flatbread vee-eight", is how Clem Kadiddlehopper described the engine in the '34 Ford
  15. I'm pretty certain that it was last seen at the Ascot track in Carson, and wasn't ever recovered .
  16. The concept Dodge Charger from c.1997 was also a 4 door. Back then I asserted : Should be called a Coronet !
  17. There's one retailer I'm aware of which carries MCW , @Mike 1017, and that's Pegasus Hobbies : Pegasus Hobbies – "So-Cal's" Largest Hobby Destination! (wpcomstaging.com)
  18. Emily's sister April . I just love that Phantom of the Opera kind of charcoal-coloured band on her left eye/cheek ! According to me friend who'd rescued her (and turned me on to Emily) said that she was recently spayed and is recovering wonderfully. Emily's turn is soon... I realise that I've shared this photo already ; however, it's worth sharing again, as April and Emily's mum is pregnant again (same sire, too - whom I call "Char" , mum's called "Patty").
  19. Going into a beach bathroom - especially in Santa Monica - can be an "interesting" experience
  20. I recently purchased this new Chrysler B/RB engine / transmission from VCG . It looks so nice ! And, if it's anything like their other offerings, it's going to be a winner ! Mopar RB Big Block Engine Kit (Stock Versions) — VCG Resins by Reese
  21. "If someone else said it better..." I defer to Mr. Stern's excellent article regarding rear amber turn signals : Preventing accidents with amber turn signals (acarplace.com)
  22. Thanks much, George. I appreciate your prompt response , and the clarification. I'm quite looking forward to doing business with you and Wylde, et alia.
  23. 1962 Chrysler Enforcer . Built at the request (demand, really) of the CHP , as Chrysler - via misinformation - downsized its fullsize fleet for 1962 (whoops !)... except for the premium lines (Imperial and Chrysler). CHP required a 122" wheelbase , so Chrysler conjured up the Enforcer to meet this demand. The gripping rebel biker film Wild Angels ! (1966) features one of these bad boys , out by the Salton Sea on the Mecca (northwest side) tier of that then-elegant resort.
  24. I resemble that remark ! But, the results were better 'an I'd anticipated ; to wit : - Removed the crummy vinyl top from my rust-free California beach car ; - Ground / sanded off the rust-free California rust ; - Sprayed rust converter on the rust-free surface ; - Filled the deeper pits with JB Weld ; - Welded (or was it well-did ?) patch panels into/over the rust-free holes on the C-pillars ; - Sprayed primer over the top notch work in the carport at my friends' house on a windy day ; - Then used a brush and a roller to Craigslistidly-apply the latex house paint over the SEMA-awarded body work. I nude I shoulda getted Rustoleum for that mailbox finish, but I hadda spent more better funds on more bestest primer and materials.
  25. 1964 225 is Chrysler Engine Red ( I believe that the 170 is the same colour, same year). Transmission - manual or Torqueflite - is as-cast : cast iron for manual (and pre-1962 A-466 (Powerflite) and A-488 (Torqueflite) ), aluminium for 1976 & later manuals (all) , 1960-c.1984 A-904 G & LA , and 1962-c.1989 A-727. Bellhousing is engine colour for all manuals , with a semi-gloss black inspection plate. The blue Slant Sixes came along for the 1970 model year (a different shade vs. the "1972 blue") , both 198 and 225.
