I think Ive built only one NASCAR car since I can remember, being a Fireball Robert’s car. This build has definitely got me wanting to do more. I like the JR Salvinos kit I’m working on. I’m building the Kyle Larson car for my brother in law, and the rack and pinion that was on the tree is missing the boot, all the way to the end of the rack on the passenger side. It appears it was not molded right. It’s not a break, but it’s smooth on the end. The piece is not in the box either. Does anyone know if Salvinos will ship parts out to customers?

I noticed my scrap bin gets a little, pleasant, plastic styrene, odor every time I open it. 🙂

Pretty sweet late model Mustang build. Headers and the whole under carriage looks fantastic. I like the adjustable rear anti sway bar, for added traction. I have a late model Firebird Formula I’d like to build in a similar way.

Nice build on the Dodge, Mario. Your interior and body color choice was a good one. I agree, it is a nice kit. I built two max wedge versions, and currently have a hemi version going on. Definitely gotta play around with the wheels to get them to look right.

Do you plan on fabricating vent windows? I don’t understand why they are not included with the clear parts on an otherwise, exceptional model kit? -
Unlike many things today, Tupperware was made to last.

I have a Tupperware container with a lid, sitting on the bench. From the small leftovers I cut from styrene rod, or sheets, to aluminum tubing, gets tossed in there. I always rummage through the scrap bowl before grabbing a new piece of material. Not a very large container, but there are many usable items in mine, that I use regularly.

Moebius Wrecker Truck Announcement

You’ll just have to buy quick when they become available on eBay. -

Would you be interested in a sealed MPC Mustang II Fire Fighter pro stock? I’m in need of a Moebius kit to steal the Hemi out of it.

I was thinking it was all about cars also. But, Michelle, you have an awesome collection of SciFi books, my favorite subject, next to horror. The Star Wars are particularly an interest to me, as we just came back from Disney, and I was watching IV, V, and VI, on Disney plus since I came home after meeting Darth Vader, and Chewie at Hollywood Studios. Just had to re watch those first few flicks.

Thank you for the replies everyone.

Very impressive attention to details. At first glance I thought you have added aftermarket parts. Nice contrast of colors that you have used that appears on these real cars. I hear ya on the skill levels of these pro stock kits. I’ve built Revell level 5 Camaro kit, that in my opinion seemed WAY less difficult than these kits.

Any new info on this arriving? -
Excellent build. It’s rare to see an Oldsmobile, especially done up right.

Looking good Bill. Should have it all buttoned up real soon. -
Thanks Mike. They are Hemi Race carbs from Fireball Modelworks.

Nice mods. These kits need some help in a few areas. You got one figured out already. Your interior looks fantastic. I have a couple of these B bodies, including a pro street version or two. I have some guides made of card stock, that Ed Flunk was kind enough to make for me. These help get the rear wheel well openings look more correct. Maybe one day I’ll try my hand at creating the “pinched” body lines above the wheels. Here is a pic of an A-12 with only the rear wheel mods.

Been working on this AWB car. Decided to build the “Mule” white car, with red interior. Might not be 100% correct, but finding decent pics of these cars isn’t easy. After this one is complete, I plan on building the Golden Commandos, just like on the box, and possibly the Lee Smith car as well. I most likely won’t get any further than where I am at now, as we are heading to Disney World tomorrow. Not too far away from final assembly though.

I really like the storage drawers down the sides of the bench. That’s a lot of storage area for tools, styrene, and aluminum rods and tubes. Some times a little simplicity does wonders. -
Funny that you mentioned this, as I was just discussing a similar topic with my wife. The conversation consisted of how people are most definitely programmed, and pretty much do what they are told. I wouldn’t call it brainwashed, even though we all are brainwashed to a certain extent. When an online shopping site sets a day aside for their customers to log on and shop, and like good, little, obedient shoppers, they obey, and shop. Also, most holidays probably wouldn’t exist, if there was no money to be made. As far as SOME of the dates, they can be a waste of time. I’ve had bread go moldy before the date, and had drinks taste stale while still within the date. Sometimes I wonder why should I trust a corporation just because they put a date on the product? Years ago they didn’t even want consumers to know what ingredients were actually in the product. Frequently the company will take a hit because of the dates expiring before a product sells, and having to give the stores credit. Creating waste. Not trying to be a grumpy old man, but I question things more than ever now.

Been really into the Mopars in my stash, ever since the Moebius Dodge was released. I had the decals, and a bunch of spare parts to build this car, except for a body. I acquired a painted body, that I had to strip. So I put the parts to good use, and finished this up today. I wanted to keep the intake magnesium, and the heads aluminum. I added some Hemi race carbs, and rims from Fireball. The 8.75 rear was from the Hemi Dart kit, grafted to the supplied rear and spring assembly. From the few pics of the real car that I saw, it appears he was not running the single exhaust pipe and muffler. Looks like open headers. So I stole them from one of the AWB kits. I’m really looking forward to building a couple AWB cars real soon.
