  1. Bravo! You really captured the look of the real thing quite well. I think that's an easy win.
  2. Motorcycle touring Outdoor concerts, the more horns the better Supporting and enjoying classic warbirds BBQs with my GF And watching a handful of fellow forum regulars drive off enthusiastic and aspiring modelers for non modeling reasons.
  3. 3-hours at Woodstock, man. 3-hours. Saved the day.
  4. But if Frigidaire did make cars...
  5. I've learned there's a finite photo height allowed here so if you stack them like that into a tall photo, it will scale down to the height limit. We'll probably see them better if you can break it down more. Though 5 photos are the limit you can add 5 more photos by replying (with photos) to your own post.
  6. I love this picture. It screams 1970s and the neighborhood contributes to the authentic look of the car.
  7. Flush with the body might make more aero sense Casey, but it would almost defeat the purpose of using the Mustang scoop. I think your instincts are correct the way you have it, at least in terms of the coolness factor. It adds to the allure.
  8. Super glue and styrene glue both have roles in model building. I typically use three or four glues per project because they each excel at different needs. Super glue, styrene glue, epoxy glue, and white glue are my weapons of choice and I'm still exploring more.
  9. I'm pretty impressed with the painting that's been shown here so far. All you guys are giving good care to color choices, finishes and crisp two toning. Looking forward to more.
  10. They're in almost every parts box. If you need one I'd put a request in at the Wanted or Trade sections. Couldn't be more than resin plus shipping.
  11. X2. Even if it's ten years like my last extended break.
  12. Summer break. That's what I tend to do too. Box up all but the primary project, pull out the motorcycle and come back later for the long winter.
  13. If there was no primer and you lacquered directly onto the plastic, the paint has etched into the plastic and you won't have 100-percent success. If that's the case, for trouble spots you might do as well to sand on it with fine grit.
  14. We have a completion! Nice work. The V8 worked out great, it looks great and you've got a sleeper Burt & Hal would be proud of.
  15. Looks great. Nice incarnation of a kit that can be hard to love. And with a crew like that, you're sure to be "Stylyn."
  16. I think I'm becoming a dedicated fan Billy.
  17. I like what you did too. I really like the wheels. This might be a case of the sum of its parts being worth more than the whole.
  18. Nice concept Ken. Very forward thinking and best of all, it's original. Since I'm pretty sure there's still dust in Utopia, it fits in good. I like the drive by wire idea. Besides, if the young lady comes with it, then yeah, we're in Utopia.
  19. This may be what you're referring to Thom. It's the article I wrote regarding a sprue tree from the Lindberg Dodge 330. The build quality is so-so but the idea's pretty cool. This is how the tree looks after all the parts are off. If you enclose the risers and add axles, you can build it up almost any way you want. I patterned this after a trailer at a local rental yard. And this is the car the sprue tree comes from with all the pieces together.
  20. That should pretty much answer your question, eh Rob?
  21. Fantastic paint Paul. Thanks for identifying the engine. That's GOT to find its way to one of my projects.
  22. If you want to go back in time to an old mold in 1/32, this one's been kicking around through various releases.
  23. And to translate your references to plastic, maybe check out what the boys are doing in the Pro Street Community Build by clicking here.
  24. Great responses guys. Thanks a lot. Joseph sounds like he's got the system I should explore. I like the versatility and its forgiving qualities.
