  1. That is correct. If a viewer likes your photo, they can order merchandise from the photo hosting site with your photo on it; mugs, t-shirts, magnets, etc. My GF is a dog breeder and takes wonderful photos. Her photos of her dogs from her photo hosting site started showing up on merchandise being sold by a vendor at dog shows and she had no recourse to stop it. Yes, she still owned the rights to her photos but her photo site also has been given permission, per her membership, to do whatever they want with them, including selling them commercially.
  2. Beautiful model Phil. This car has been on my interest radar for some time. Lots of neat styling cues and you did a great job.
  3. Fascinating project and excellent results. I read your WIP thread. Pretty cool.
  4. That's what I always think of when I hear the term. Joke was on the Ruskies though. By the time they got it all sorted out and copies built, they were obsolete in the fast changing post war world of aircraft. (Nelson Muntz anybody?)
  5. If you're talking about small thin burn spots I've had success touching them up with a brush. Dab very lightly in thin coats, almost like dry brushing. When you've built it up to your satisfaction, knock down the ripples with your polishing tools. It may not be perfect but only a trained eye looking for it will see it. Not sure about candies or transparent paints though.
  6. Very, very nice. A refreshing take on the Challenger. I love it.
  7. Go easy on the glue. Be patient and keep a steady hand. Don't get bogged down the by steps that may not interest her. Build it any way she wants that keeps it fun.
  8. I like it. Nice work. Well thought out and it sits just right.
  9. I love following this Kenn. It's more involved than I can give it this time but if you don't mind I'd like to bookmark this page. I'd love to come back and try a wheel wiring like this for a future project. Keep it up, it's fascinating.
  10. For that reason this will probably be a short conversation. Swap meets are almost always the best deal; no shipping, you negotiate down instead of up and you get to hold in your hand what you buy. But as Robert says, selection is in ebays favor.
  11. Oh, that's as sure as losing the lottery. Okay, the closest I came happened during my year modeling professionally, a barrel bur on a motor tool ripped across my knuckles. Stung like a mother (in-law) but didn't require treatment.
  12. I finished the engine on the Corvette/Camaro, Cormaro, whatever... The photos flatter it but the silvers were not as diverse as I'd hoped so in real life it's kind of flat. But I'm getting better at fuel lines. I should, it took two very patient evenings.
  13. Jordan, I really like what I'm seeing on all your recent posts. I think this will be a fascinating entry and you're really knockin' it out.
  14. That does look good. I didn't realize the Testers kit had recessed panel lines. I've got the Academy Bearcat on my to-do list. Tentative plan is bare metal with French Indo-China or Vietnam AF markings.
  15. The cynic in me has to agree with this. Particularly young or new builders who may not know the history of old subjects and get a big letdown when they open the box after plunking down $20 (for the cheap kits). Personally, any old tool that gets me in the ballpark of something I can work with is good enough to root for. Hooray Round2, I hope this pays off big for them.
  16. It's hard to comprehend this was entirely created out of almost nothing and didn't exist prior. You are an artist.
  17. There could be some trickery to make a real one look like a model. But I think Teresi could pull this off EASY. Gonna say model.
  18. Our hobby level of copyright infringement, I believe, is not a viable threat to manufacturers. But it is an annoyance, a reputable quality concern as well as an infringement on the licensing they had to hammer out. I think an initial request to cease and desist is fair and reasonable. If you're defiant, you deserve legal action. That said, I would hope model manufacturers would be okay with a little hobbyist-to-hobbyist vending. I would hope they'd see the value in home-produced copying of "smalls" to supplement and maintain interest in the kits they're marketing.
  19. Just got my copy. As mentioned, the crisp detailing is quite exciting. So why is the most garish ridge on the model right in the usual place on the outer bumper and covered in chrome? I'd be interested in knowing why that's still the only place to put a seam and why it's the worst of any seam in the rest of an otherwise almost flawless kit?
  20. Jeepers that's a clean build. That dash is amazing. Yeah, Darcy, I don't think you'll be anonymous here very long.
  21. Haven't seen the Gremlin yet. But now that you mention it...
  22. Oh, that's a beauty. I think that's about as complete of a look at one of these as I've seen. Can't go wrong with those Matador wheels. I'd like to have a set cast. Hey, welcome to the dark side Darcy.
