I've just been seasonally ill with one lingering virus or another since T-giving and can't drum up the interest to build anything. FWIW, I gathered the elements for a build. Just can't get jazzed enough to commit.

Replacing pics is what I've been dabbling at for a while. This might be preferred, in consideration of those who might have bookmarked the original posts or who want to preserve the context of the original discussion.

Yeah, that was a good one. Really, I think that whole disk was their best of all. I believe she even said that as a group they were in a good place when they made that one. They were free of studio obligations, had the producer that fit them well and were beyond their past anxieties, frustrations and brooding and made the music they wanted to make.

This one seemed really bad. I haven't measured, but wheels look pretty small. -

I've always thought tires look a little small too, but I also think it's an optical illusion. If you look at real cars and try to mentally erase the darkness of the surrounding wheel wells, the tires do look a little small. I'm certain most kit wheels are scale correct. -
Watch out Rob, don't get seduced by the gremlin's sweet siren song of "just one more little thing," and its B-side hit, "Well, if I do this then I might as well just do this and this." And then, well, you know how it goes.

Well, if you've moved on to drinking Sterno, nothing will help you understand

This is really neat. The kind of thing that inspires me.

Wow, really a superb eye for weathering and masterful execution. -
Niko, if you need anything from the states to help you out, PM me. I'd be happy to do what I can.

What, and you didn't have the time or where-with-all to build any models?? Kidding, of course. Yeah that's a rough year. I'm sure it took the wind out of a lot things you enjoy. All the best for 2018 my friend.

This is about the finest example of dieselpunk I've seen in 1/25. I've aspired to do something like this and got a couple false starts, I'm just not talented enough of a visionary to make the details look like they have purpose. Great work!

I LOVE IT. I admire modelers who explore boldly. Why? Because I'm not talented that way but wish I was. It's about the idea, and the ideas inspire me. There's lots of room in modeling for creative exploration, let the engineers sweat the details. I see things you're doing and it gets my mind whirling about how I could interpret something you've done into a project of my own. I'd like to see what else you've done. Here's a link to a site I've bookmarked because this guy does wacky and unapologetic creating. It inspires me and I refer to it from time to time. http://www.markrodill.com/models.html

Among the best 2017 collections here.

Well, the rules say, "Your build must feature an engine or engines with all cylinders in a row, of any variety." Rob makes the call, but it sounds favorable.

Christmas Amnesty Project 2017 - Valiant Stocker 2-9-18 Update
Lunajammer replied to Tom Geiger's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I always forget about these until you bring them up each year, at which point I'm reminded how cool the idea is. I think that airport limo is a lot to tackle in one week, but I'd still like to that one buttoned up and pretty some day. -
Anything different is good. Love the fresh take.

Question about making your own decals
Lunajammer replied to Sly Fox Racing's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've never used ink jet for decals so I have no experience, but it's been my impression that laser printers offer denser, richer ink. Though I now use an office laser copier, I used to go to a print shop for laser copies and have never been disappointed. No issues with setting solutions or clear coats. Biggest issue has been ink flaking off when doing tight, curved trimming.
