  1. It's not the quantity, it's the quality. Beautiful work and as always, interesting subjects.
  2. Must be the long winters there in Russia, but this is a fantastic collection. You should be proud. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Wow, what a bold change. High tech to low tech. Hot to cold. Flat to mountains. Urban to, well, less urban. Grain fed to grass fed. Palm trees to pine trees. Too bad the kids are grown, good place to raise them.
  4. Pretty darned crisp for 1/72. I wish I had your experience.
  5. I fell in love with these the first time I saw one on a poster. I think it looks great.
  6. Well that sucks. It'll be nice when all this cancer heart foolishness is behind you and you can get on with business. Till then, just keep pluggin' away and keep us posted. We all want to know you're getting better.
  7. Hate's a strong word, but I'm afraid I detest you. The engine doesn't even look that bad.
  8. Bruce, the level of detail you've invested into your truck really shows your passion. I admire that. I don't think there's anything I'd build that could sustain my interest to that extent. It all looks worth it. Jesse, sure sorry to hear you're out. I've become a fan of your work over the last couple years. I hope when everything comes together you'll finish it up and show us.
  9. Wow. Almost ten years ago. Two guys even like it . Get well soon Harry.
  10. Unbelievable. All the paint and textures are perfect. One of the year's best. Of course, the photos are excellent too.
  11. Gluing together halves that could be molded as wholes. Worse on older kits, but carburator halves, master cylinder halves, exhaust manifold halves, I don't even like gluing seat halves together. Thank God we evolved past tire halves. But every now and then a new head scratcher shows up.
  12. That's perfect Darren, Thanks. The brush I'm using is like a trimmed down version of your top brush. Maybe I'm not so far off. Anyone else? (P.S. Darren, if you're in the Las Cruces, SENM area, I've got a lot of billboard designs hanging around there.)
  13. The dry brushing technique is simple enough and there are many threads showing results of dry brushing and descriptions of dry brushing. But what I'd like to see is a picture of the brushes you use for what effects. I'm striving for the effects shown here. I'm not completely satisfied with my past efforts and I'm not sure I'm using the right kind of brushes for the right application with the right mediums. Pics anyone?
  14. This was a surprise. I really, really like it. I have the kit and I'm not afraid of it. Rather, I'm encouraged that it can finish this lustrous. I might have to bookmark this for reference.
  15. The more I research my next project, the more I'm dazzled by your design choices. This isn't just made up stuff, you've studied future cars and this demonstrates a real understanding of contemporary concepts. And that's aside from the superb mechanical engineering you've shown. I covet.
  16. On one hand, it's all relative. I didn't feel any different when kits went above $10. Retail price has always hurt a little. That said, I've been exercising conscious buying restraint the past couple years because of price points and I've made greater efforts to draw from my stash whenever possible. I mean, that's why I have a stash, right?
  17. Now that's my kind of modeling. A lot of fit-'n-fill and imagineering, but it's a one-off and a great show piece.
  18. Hmm. Mixed feelings. On one hand I have several that could benefit from this rule change, including an unfinished Cannonball car. On the other hand, will half built entries be Cannonball cars or end up being just an old favorite that might be more suited for the Back on the Bench! CBP? Maybe it doesn't matter. Won't effect me.
  19. Exactly likewise. There might be handshakes.
  20. Those wheels really give it character. That's how I'd build it.
  21. Neat, love the stock color.
  22. Such a smokin' hot looking car.
