  7. I think you outdid yourself with this one my friend!!!! Your refusal to concede anything to scale sets this build apart from most others. Now let's get to work on the Chaparral !!! Randy

  17. bottom part of the oil pan... So started work on the wiring harness and made up the generator and starter with solenoid. As this is a front engine car with a rear transaxle the "tranny" is pretty much a clutch cover. That is all for now. Thank you for looking in! Randy
  18. Need a generator and a starter and that funky shaped oil pan with cooling fins...using fairly thick lead sheet stock that is carved for fins to give me that fan shaped curve surface, this idea using the lead sheet came from Straightliner Daniel's dragster build where he used thin lead sheet for an embossed cog blower belt. more....
  19. Hi Folks, Brad & Art , Thank you my friends. Yes, I should have this one ready for GSL. I see that Mr. Randy Derr has thrown down that gauntlet with that awesome 1/12th scale Corvette so going to have to finish strong:) Andy, get back to work, May is coming Francis, Thank you for that. I always get inspired looking at your work!! Daniel, appreciate the kind words, your brass chassis dragster is just wonderful. Bruce, Sorry to disappoint buddy!!! Charlie, glad you like it, you are setting the bar pretty high yourself. Thank you Dave B.!! Noel, that is a humbling list you have there! Work on the crankcase and oil pan..... Couple of reference pics, Photo credit to Joel Finns book and a recreation from England... White metal pieces filed to shape.... more coming....
