There's more than one way to deal with those pesky ejector pin marks! The interior walls of the bed were loaded with them, but I guess I really can't complain too much as these were the only ejector pin marks I had to deal with on the entire model.
Thanks, Jim. It's going together quite well, and the only issue has been the plethora of deep ejector pin marks on the inside of the dump bed; but I have a solution! I just need time to implement it.
I put my tractors in these: https://www.pioneerplastics.com/shop/display-case/toy-cases/118-scale-diecast-case-2/
You can order them directly from Pioneer Plastics,. or they are available at Hobby Lobby. They generally will fit a single tractor or you don't get too crazy with the wheelbase, and they stack.
Interesting. I like the West Seneca, NY, location on the decal sheet. If only the area code was correct (716), but I understand why it was done that way.
So, it's been a little while, but I managed to get some decals onto "Ole' No. 25" today. I'm not entirely happy with how they look, but I am grateful that they didn't just disintegrate once they hit the water considering how old the decals are.
The pics might be "less than stellar", but the build is awesome! I'm constantly amazed at the detail in these 1/43 kits. If I ever find one at a local show for a reasonable price I might just have the pull the trigger & buy it.
