  1. There is. The question is (to me), do I have a spare?
  2. Sam, I'm hoping Gary's is better, but time will tell. I just got tired of messing with ti to try to make it look right. I was even swapping in parts from the AMT 8V92, and it was still rough. Rick, thanks. I think I'm going to need it! Dennis, thanks. Time will tell if this is successful, or makes it's "first flight" some time in April.
  3. Yes, that's the plan. Might try to add a lift gate, too.
  4. Great looking car hauler, J.T.
  5. I think it'll be an interesting build, Dan. Do you have any pics of your General? Did you have to lengthen the frame? Thanks, Gator.
  6. Once I get Gary's engine, I'll post some comparison shots.
  7. I was going to wait a little while longer before I started this thread on my 1976 Chevrolet Bison stake truck so I had more progress to show; but since we are already close to the end of the month, and the rules do say "monthly updates" I figured no time like the present. Here is the kit that I am starting with: Yes, the venerable AMT Chevrolet Bison. The plan is to replace the 8V92 that comes in the kit with a 6V92T, shorten the hood to a 108" BBC from the kits 116" BBC, swap out the air ride suspension for the spring suspension from the AMT GMC Astro/95, then add the stake body from the AMT Ford C600 kit (thank you, Aaron). I have had the Auslowe Detroit Diesel 6V92T kit kicking around for a while now, and I figured this would be perfect: Oh, man, was I ever wrong! Ever since I started building this engine back on January 1st, it's been one step forward & two steps back! I'm going to toss the Auslowe engine idea, and replace it with a 6V92T from GW Trucks. Hopefully more progress next month!

  9. Nicely done. Could pass for a California Hay Hauler.
  10. You should be able to get the 1951 grill & dashboard from Ken's Kitchen Table Resins, assuming that he's still in business.
  11. Looks like the "long lost" Kenworth molds have been found. Wonder if it will be the W925 (torsion bar suspension) or the W923 (spring suspension).
  12. Dieselpunk meets Star Trek. Very cool. Talk about your high speed interceptor!
  13. Have you talked to Gary Wallace about casting this? Just a suggestion.
  14. Didn't even know Aoshima made separate 1/32 wheel sets for heavy trucks.
  15. Great job on the W900, Ken. I've had the same kit sitting on the "Shelf of Shame" for about 4 years.

  17. Lots of really nice details. Did I miss the scale? This doesn't look 1/25.
  18. Dodge was a little strange. The LVS/LVT1000 was the designation for trucks with V6 or V8 engines, while the LNS/LNT1000 designation was used for trucks with I6 engines. The "S" was for single drive axle & the "T" was for tandem drive axles.
