  1. Great looking Peterbilt!
  2. Thanks for the info, Lee. I didn't know that.
  3. Wow! That's a beast! I have a question about the tires: I know they are probably just "posed" for the camera, but which way are they supposed to go? Are they directional? I don't know much about off road tires.
  4. That came out nice, Ray. Well done.
  5. Nice looking Warhawk! Well done.
  6. That looks awesome! Very well done. I have a Nighthawk in my garage.
  7. Nice site. Thanks for posting.
  8. Looking really nice! I like it. My only concern is the wood decking. I don't think you'll be able to find an 8ft x 16ft piece of wood. Will you be making that into planking? Or is it planking, and I just can't tell?
  9. Looking nice. Thanks.
  10. Do you do a standard (SFFA) 9300 conversion?
  11. Well, that's interesting!
  12. The Freightliner FLD 120 is tempting, as are the Scania T143H, IVECO E5 Hi-Way, & DAF XF105.
  13. I was leaning towards flat black for the bed floor. I friend of mine sent me this: http://www.gmcpauls.com/47-72_BedWood_Info.htm It's for the 1947-72 GMC pickup, but the 1941 A/K is close (sort of) to the Advanced Design. Looks like they were coated with linseed oil & lampblack. So, flat black it is!
  14. That's just disturbing on so many levels, but then I guess it's supposed to be.
  15. So, plugging along on the Chevrolet AK, and I have the bed painted; but as I was painting it I realized that I really have no idea what the floor of the bed should be. It has a wood floor molded in, so should this be natural wood? Was it painted stock from the factory? If so, what color? I'm pretty sure that the light at the end of the tunnel is the headlamp of an oncoming train!
  16. After doing extensive research on the subject, here is what I have determined you'll need to correctly build Snowman's W900 (not K900, no such thing). Anyway, here goes. You'll need the AMT Kenworth W925 kit for the frame, hood, & sleeper. If you can find one with the tandem torsion bar suspension, that's a plus, because you'll need one of those, too. They are available from the aftermarket (Double Take Replicas, maybe?). You'll also need the cab & VIT interior from the Revell of Germany Kenworth W900 kit. For the engine, you can use the Cummins NTA380 from the AMT kit as some of the movie trucks had them, or you can pick up a Caterpillar 1693 from Kit From Services in England (he calls it the Yellow Engine). I do not believe the Snowman's truck has twin sticks for the transmission. In fact, I'm not even sure what type of transmission it had. Maybe Ben Wicker will know. Good luck with your build.
