  1. It was previously mentioned on here and elsewhere that the second set of 1/32 funny cars, the Pinto, Vega, Mustang II and Gremlin were going to be reissued. I sent an inquiry to Atlantis just a few days ago, and the reply was that "there are no plans as of yet" in regard to these kits. So, it sounds like they have reconsidered or if they are coming, it will not be any time soon. I am not sure if the first set has sold well, but they seemed to have been positively received and reviewed. I was really hoping to see the second set as well.....
  2. Excellent work!
  3. Love everything about this! So much so, that I actually bought the mag just to read the article! Great stance and details, I enjoy just staring at it, lol!
  4. That color is cool, I assume this is a rebuilder and that is the original color, but it would be cool if you keep it or get something close when you redo it. Your plan for the build sounds good too.
  5. Looks cool as it sits! Pretty much all of the old Trophy Series engines will "drop" in except maybe the hemi from the '32 roadster.
  6. Outstanding work!
  7. This is really excellent work! Love the engine and chassis details! I always liked the orange box art car, but figured it was a product of the model designers imaginations because I never really saw a '58 Impala gasser. Most '58 Chevy drag cars I have seen are Bel Airs or Biscaynes. Not too long ago, I found this pic on Facebook that might have been the inspiration for the AMT box art, so there was at least one real one out there!
  8. So nice! Looks great, I would love to have a real one like it!
  9. The valve covers and intake are from the AMT '62 Bel Air and Impala kits.
  10. Your work is outstanding! Love the Canadian conversions and the Grumpy cars!
  11. Super job! Love it! The best way to build this kit is as a drag car, IMHO!
  12. Awesome job on this! Great colors and nice detail painting on the figure!
  13. It occurred to me that all the current Ollie's Monogram kits were available in the Motorworks by Revell line, with the exception or the '64 Mustang convertible. I think these were for Walmart? Not sure though.
  14. Great job on a very fiddly kit! Love your color choices and everything is done very well!
  15. This is fantastic work! The corrections, details and stance add up for an outstanding model!
  16. Very cool! Model and story!
  17. Nice improvements! It is cool how you just keep tweaking until it is just right!
  18. Super job on this! Really like the engine and the '73 Cougar engine bay makes a huge difference!
  19. Really diggin' the green one!
  20. Did a little internet sleuthing and it says Ollie's was founded in Mechanicsburg, PA. They have 2 distribution centers: 1 in York, PA. and the other in Georgia. I am in PA. and check 3 stores. Usually, at least one will get a load of whatever good kits come in. The stores are all around 2 hours away from York. The Ollie's I have been to on the east coast of FL., Merritt Island, etc. seem to be pretty well stocked too. My guess is their stock comes from the Georgia distribution center.
  21. That's a real car right? Seriously, fantastic job on this! Cool that you can swap the wheels!
  22. Glad you switched the wheels! Much better choice! Great stance, and I like the engine upgrade too!
  23. I was able to get a couple of the AWB Novas, an Opel GT, '32 Phaeton and the "Corvette". I have to admit, I get suckered in because these are cheap. I don't mind the Novas because I build mostly drag cars, so I will do something with them or the parts, same with the Opel. I want to build a later model gasser out of one of those and was glad to get it. Even the '32 is a good parts car, but just an FYI, the Corvette is not good at all and the parts are not even great. I knew better and bought it anyway, figuring I would pull the good parts and make some type of drag car out of it. I did not realize the body is "Palmeresque" in nature. Yikes! More power to you if you dig it and you know what it is, but if not, I would highly recommend leaving it on the shelf.
  24. Love it! One of my favorite kits!
