I would try gently and repeatedly trying to 'work' the screw to break it loose. Also, I think you could use a soldering iron to slightly WARM the screws. Heat will break the 'seal' and also warm the plastic to make it a tad pliable. Try gently removing while warm, and also after it cools if needed.....IMO

Pulled the Camaro out of the paint booth, (after a long pondering session). Shot some clear, didn't like it, now wet sanded down for next steps. Updates coming!

Wow, I realized I haven't posted any updates on the project for quite some time. I have only tinkered with it on and off, but have come to the realization that a glue bomb may never be quite the same as new. So I will make it close! Yes sir, definitely not a high gloss. What would your suggestion be to polish it and not get the mirror finish?

Is that just the lacquer? Any clear? Trying to get the sheen right. That looks very nice!!

Basically..yes, but not really. The definition of "Shooting Brake" varies. Your adding a longer roofline to a sporty car.

I just used it on a Camaro build over Tamiya Gunmetal Grey. It added more metallics, with prismatic colors. It's very subtle, need good lighting to pick it up. I also added TS-13 over it, with some polishing, but not all of it. You can check it out under... Shooting Brake Camaro under the WIP section.

Ok, here it is at about 99%, just need a couple small decals and a license plate. You can actually see the carpet through rear glass. I'll do some better pics after that.

Did I mention how much I hate dealing with windows??? Here's pics of final paint and some assembly. A few decals to be added and obviously....new side windows! As BDSchindler mentioned the windshield doesn't fit quite right. A lot of tweaking had to be done because the A pillars are slightly different than on the kit body. Also cracked open the 50th anniversary kit for the open grill, much better!

That sounds like a good idea. But the wire I had and what I could find is aluminum, so holding the shape is challenging.

Thanks for the encouraging remarks! If you look at the first bench seat, there is a center split. I added it after the seat was made. And yes it should be "1/3" or "1/4" split, but I wasn't rebuilding the seat.

Saw this last Friday (non 40% week)didn't get back until this Thursday, also picked up the parts paint rack.

Does anyone still make these, or something similar? I have the plastic nut and bolt heads you cut from the sheet,but I like these with the shank attached to use as actual pins/bolts for extra strength and security. LMK, Thanks
