  1. I loved the van build but I'm lovin this one a little more. Just nailed the whole look, a lot of awesome details. Very nice work
  2. That thing is freakin bad a$$ slammed. I can't wait to get my hands on a van kit. Nice work.
  3. Btw, I like your reference to the "construction zone" , one of the best parts about MT magazine.
  4. I just got done looking at the build page, some nice work. I liked the fact that you kept it in the "project" stage, love that look. Do you happen to have any photos of the air ride set up? Tank, comp., bags, etc...? One day I'd like to build models of the different stages my custom trucks went through.
  5. Love the new look, simple and clean. Would make a great daily driver, nice work.
  6. Great looking build, thing is sweet. Nice work.
  7. Beautiful build, you nailed everything.
  8. Pretty cool build you have going on here the frame looks real clean and simple. Lookin forward to seein more.
  9. I'm really liking the looks of this build. The rims are killer, where what did they come off? But my favorite has to be the slogan, funny as hell, I'd hire these guys. Nice work, keep it going.
  10. This thing is nasty! Love them rims and how you made the rear fender sides square like the rest. Looking forward to seeing more of this, nice work.
  11. Man Chris, that blanket turned out real nice. I did my first one a few weeks ago for fun. After seeing yours I think ill try and make a few more. Just my opinion but I like the blanket 10x more then the animal print.
  12. Thanks Doc. Thanks Luis. Yea, the paper clip fits pretty snug in there. I cut the clip smaller then the straw to give me room so I could cut the straw back to fit the endings. But once it's bent the clip doesn't move at all. Thanks Chris. It's more work then I expected but well worth it. Can't wait to see yours laying rocker. I'll keep my eye out for the build.
  13. Thanks Chris & James, I really appreciate that. Ill try and get more photos up soon. Welcome to the site guys.
  14. Thanks Zac. I appreciate it. Glad I finally got the rear all figured out, it's almost done. Thanks Andre Thanks Ira. One day I'll have the balls to cut my projects up and be able to put them back together like you do.
  15. Thanks Jim, glad your liking it.
  16. What a friggin great looking set up. You nailed it all, way cool build. Nice job.
  17. That thing is mean! Love everything about it , some great looking details. Nice work Blair
  18. Some really clean work you did there with the tail lights. I wanted to know if you had any photos of the inside and how they stay in there? I also wanted to know if you need to use a particular type of glue to get the straw to stay in there? Thanks for any help. Keep up with the build, some really nice work so far.
  19. Nothing like some killer flames, they came out beautifully. I also love the valve covers. Can't wait to see more, keep it up.
  20. And this is everything installed on the frame. I was going for that smooth flowing look with nice lines. Still some touch up work to do but you can see the look I was trying to achieve. This is everything mocked up on the frame with all 4 wheels, motor, and drive shaft. Thanks for checking out the build. I have more photos to load with some other things going on with the build that I'll be posting soon. I think you guys are gonna dig it.
  21. Here's the first 2 link bars installed The finished rear with everything installed outside the frame.
  22. I cut the shocks down and cleaned them up a bit to fit into the scheme of things. I finally found the only thing in my house that comes even close to the size I needed for the link bars and it happened to be the straw off the 3M Dust Remover can. In order to get the bend I wanted and not have it move out of place I used a piece of paper clip to stick inside. Did a little body work and its good to go. I have to run out but here's a little teaser. I'll post photos of the complete set up later on tonight.
  23. When I finished making the tabs I figured out where everything had to go. Keeping the clean look of my bridge I decided to attach them to the cross member and rear end. After that I did the body work and more shaping. Still have some touch ups to do. I made a backing plate so I can attach some more tabs. I made it line up with the lines that were already on the rear. Thought it looked a little empty and weak so I added filler plates and rounded the back edge off to **If anyone can please tell me why these keep showing up as links instead of photos? I copied the photobucket IMG link but it keeps showing like this.** http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/af128/JBrackneyFL/49%20Mercury/DSCN7127_zps42ad72df.jpg http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/af128/JBrackneyFL/49%20Mercury/2a9cdf98-ec08-4897-9960-aa3e5879cc6d_zps6d81bb49.jpg
  24. Sorry for the lack of updates but its a pain in the a$$ to get my photos up. After some broken parts and a lot of trial n error, I finally finished the rear set up. This was the first time ever scratch building this small so it took a lot longer then expected but I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I decided to go with a 4 link. The first thing I did was make a cross member so I can attach the tabs to it. I found this piece of old parts tree that fits perfectly. Then I made a bunch of tabs out of some old bread plastic clips. First making rough outlines/cuts then I shaped them and last I punched some holes through. Wasn't going to make the holes but I figured the extra step was worth it. I didn't have a drill bit small enough so I had to tap the holes out, then slowly push it through the rest of the way so i didn't split the tabs apart. I also made tabs for the shocks out of the old cross member they used to attach to.
  25. Nailed the paint job, such a beautiful color. Can't wait to see it in the sun. My vote is still for the red thin strip LED tail lights or maybe even do them in clear, goes better with the orange paint and white interior. Lookin' good Albie. Finish her up.
