  1. Any progress on this build? It's been a year!
  2. Prior to removing flash and sanding, it’s best to wash / soakthe body to remove any mold release. You don’t want to embed it into the resin by sanding
  3. Fun project! I’m a sucker for family cars. Great idea using the PE fret for gas tank straps!
  4. Looks great! Typical hot rod with some custom touches!
  5. AMT 34 Ford pickup. I believe this is the cab you need. Very cool project idea!
  6. Welcome! That’s quite an interesting model for a first dive back into the hobby!
  7. Model Car Repair Shop Day here- Chassis fit was poor on my Falcon stocker so I did some trimming until it fit well. Then glued back in place and remounted rear bumper. My Foose pickup was done for the 24 Hr Build and funky things happen when you’ve been at it 20 hours and are sleep deprived. I had two wheels / tires on wrong axle. Managed to coax them off and reattached correctly. No more wobble! Both are back on display shelves. A relaxing day and got a few things accomplished.
  8. Here’s a 64 Valiant I’ve been working on, with the Duster chassis under it. It will be a replica of a 64 Convertible I once owned. Duster chassis and engine bay do git well. Chassis needs to be shortened, look right ahead of the rear spring mount.
  9. Thanks! It’s the delivery fleet! Check out the plates! The restaurant is called “Epicurean Garage” thus the “EPIC” plates!
  10. I've got a lifetime of stalled builds! I could go on forever!
  11. Yes! Chevy didn’t put a V8 into the Nova until 1964. Also of note is that the 1962 kit isn’t a Nova.. just a Chevy II. The Nova name was first used in 1963.
  12. I love the 49 and enjoyed watching the build! Looking forward to the 57, now you can take your time with it!
  13. Very nice build Jim! Did you complete the other model mentioned in time?
  14. Very nice model and story behind it. Not only your personal connection but the premise of your club’s glue bomb build off !
  15. Great work! I like the little Buick wagon! Funny thing, I was painting one of those this afternoon
  16. Congratulations Nigel! Great way to end a bad year!
  17. The 64 was updated to 1965 with both kit and promo. It was updated again to a 1966 Valiant Signet but only appeared as a promo. The tool was then recycled into the Fireball 500.. no more Valiants!
  18. Just for illustrative purposes.. 1967 - Red 1968 - White 1969 - Green I have squirreled away a number of the 1970 convertible reissued to aid kits in restoring these one of these days.
  19. Lookin’ good! Nothing wrong with five nice builds for the year!
  20. Congratulations! ??? And I hear ya! I cannot bring myself to go anywhere near the model room today!
