  1. I believe it was canceled, their hall is closed
  2. The Guber Wagon and other versions built off that chassis are prominent in that Young Model Builders box. I have a few of them.. the pickup version and the van I believe is called Patent Pending.
  3. Except for golf ⛳️
  4. Very cool dio! Reminds me of a shop I once visited. They produced huge heat exchangers and built them directly on the flatbed trailer it would be delivered on. There was an opening in the floor just wide enough for the trailer so I imagine a driver had to be that good to thread that needle!
  5. I got an email from UPS that my Pace spray booth should arrive tomorrow! ?
  6. Welcome Ewe! You are very welcome on this board! I’m an American but I lived in Pirmasens when I was young.
  7. I’ve made some the same way.. 1/8 aluminum tubing. I glue a straight pin into the bottom for mounting on the engine. Truth is that a lot of distributors mount in a place where you can’t see much of it anyway, so I don’t go crazy with nine holes and proper firing order.
  8. Back in the early days of CAD I managed operations for a few companies, mainly in petrochemical field. We made simple work of creating P&ID drawings by grouping together all the similar systems so we’d only draw them once, then modify to create the subsequent drawings. We had extensive symbol libraries that we’d pull typicals like control valve stations etc so we never drew anything more than once.
  9. Thank you for the kind words! I enjoyed writing this.
  10. I finally got off my tail and ordered myself a Pace spray booth. Happy Birthday to me! Can’t wait to receive it!
  11. On Route 33 near Hightstown NJ, I pass this place going to my daughter’s house. Normally we are running late, but yesterday I stopped for some pix. This is a VW shop behind a residence on the highway. He had two really nice cars out front for sale. Marked as total restorations they looked nice to me.. convertible was marked $17500 This one was $15000.
  12. Lowe’s again has ticked me off. I finally got satisfaction with the two month delivery of the dishwasher and got the interest refunded since they billed me the day I ordered it. Today? My reciprocal saw died a few weeks ago in a big moment! It actually shot out flames ?! So with my birthday coming up my wife told my daughters to get me Lowe’s gift cards so I could buy a new saw. Well this afternoon I made that trip. Prices are pretty much even between Lowe’s and Home Depot. I shop at lowest because you get 5% off as a card holder. The saw was $89. I handed over my two gift cards and then my Lowe’s Card for the balance. It didn’t give me the discount off the entire purchase price, just on the few dollars that wound up on the card! Cashier sent me to Customer Disservice and the dullard there did no better. So I’m left to file a complaint to get me $4 back!
  13. Drop shippers! EBay especially is full of them.
  14. And only list items with starting bid at the lowest price you’d be happy to accept! There are people saying to start stuff at a penny or at 99 cents and it will cause competition! I’ve been burned there! There are people that just put in minimum bids on these, and once they win for a penny, they’ll argue postage charges etc. Not nice people to deal with!
  15. Back. 1966/68 I lived in Izmir Turkey when my father was assigned to NATO there. I was 8-10 then. At the time there was no TV in Turkey! So we became big readers. We did have a US military library. I remember the Felsen books. And the Beverly Cleary titles of Henry Huggins and his clan of friends. Once we got back to the US we binged on TV!
  16. Weird dreams this week! One night I’m in 1910 New York City riding on trains with my wife’s brother in black and white. Another night I’m selling office furniture to the Pope.. I have no clue!
  17. Don’t forget that HL is closed on Sunday!
  18. We will never know just how well they sold since Moebius was a privately held company with no obligation to report their numbers. Frank Winspur was the owner of Moebius and he is a Hudson fan... it’s good to be king! So that subject was self serving and maybe he even knew he’d never break even. But note that they did some dozen varieties and released off that tool to make it work. I’d be curious! Per the GM cars mentioned, as said there are versions of them all that were either available in the past and we can still find today, as well as many resin varieties. And good diecast from Franklin and Danbury as well so we aren’t starved for these! Still like many guys here, if any of these made it to kits, I’d buy some. And I’ve learned not to say never! We’ve been surprised before!
  19. When Don announced he was shutting down, he had the class to do a “Last Call” and allow us the chance to do a final order. Like my good friend Rich, I ordered a few item I had long meant to order to build. I was sad to learn that some people took advantage of Don’s kindness and placed large orders for speculation and profit. Those are the models you see on eBay for huge numbers.
  20. Unless they’re Amish
  21. So very sorry to learn this news! God bless your family
