Me either! I live within walking distance (okay a hearty walk!) from Hobby Lobby. I actually cut through the lot on my way to other shopping. I thought about stopping in on my way home from work, but couldn’t muster the enthusiasm!

Not that we know of. Don is still working on special projects.

Neat! I have one that’s an intact build but should be stripped and restored. My father had a 1971 Belair 4 door sedan when I was growing up. I would love to have a resin 4 door sedan. This is a scarce kit, other years seem much more available.

Live salmon sandwich

I have one of those from the last release. It’s an ancient tool, 1/48 scale, multi piece body. Pretty toylike but nostalgic

Still have to paint the spindles. If I wasn’t a fancy modeler I could be done! But no, I have tape it all off and two two-tone everything!

Looks good! I’m also a fan of “not too shiny” because trucks weren’t shiny! Work trucks got run through the car wash or hoses off if lucky. Never waxed like show cars!

Smells fishy too

NIce save of a scarce old kit! I believe I have one, as well as a Monogram TR. One of those two didn’t come with door cards, which was disappointing.

A manager at my local store told me about a guy who comes in nearly every day and buys all the clearance kits. Last time in the store, I saw two kits and bought them both half just to screw him up! ?

Weathering chalks!

I too am mourning the loss of the Metalizers. I use them on all my builds. I seldom buffed and sealed, more using them to have several different metal tones under my hood and chassis. I didn’t realize the sprays had been discontinued until they all but disappeared from store shelves. I was able to score one last can each of Magnesium and Aluminum, which I’m rationing.

That’s also what the lot looked like during the quarantine!
