  1. Condolences to his family. I met him a few years ago and was always impressed by his models.
  2. Sam, many years ago I built a Coffee Truck / Food Service Truck and found some interesting and usable items at a "local" Dollhouse & Miniatures store when I was living in NY. I was able to get both some food items and also some items I was able to use for a Lawn Service Truck that I also built. You also might want to check out Scale Equipment Ltd. website. They have some food items and a few other items that you may want to have in your Truck. Good luck with your search. You'll most likely have to wind up scratchbuilding a lot of items, but that's half the fun of working on a project like this.
  3. That's looking great so far Sam. Will you be scratchbuilding food and/or other detail items, or using some dollhouse items..??
  4. Welcome to our plastic playground Jeff.
  5. Now that is my idea of a J.C. Whitney style Custom John...... I love it. The only thing it's missing is a set of Lake Pipes., and some mirrors. Great job....

  13. Yeah, the prices for Modelhaus stuff on "the Bay" are absurd. I've got 2 of their complete kits ('57 Lincoln & '59 Oldsmobile) and a couple of conversions ('51 Ford & '52 Chevy). The thought of selling them on "the Bay" has crossed my mind, but I buy stuff to build, not profit on.
  14. I play Bass guitar. I started back in the late 60's and have played off and on in different "garage bands" over the years. I haven't played much in the last 20 years. I have a Fender Bass and a Fender Bassman 100 Amp.
  15. That is a great looking Ford.
  16. Welcome to our plastic playground Michael.
  17. I have a Tupperware style container that contains 2 bottles of Westley's Bleche White that I've always used to clean resin parts before working on them. It works great all the time.
  18. Welcome back to our hobby, and to our plastic playground John.
  19. Thank you all very much for your kind comments and well wishes. I have many more projects lined up on my TO DO list and a couple I'm currently working on. On my workbench right now is a '59 Dodge Street Machine. I also am eagerly looking forward to being able to attend some model shows as soon as this COVID19 catastrophe is behind us "for good". I won't take any chances until then as my doctors advise that I am in the "high risk category" due to my age (73), and my medical issues (the heart stuff, HBP, Type 2 Diabetes). Please all stay safe, healthy and well. Thanks again.
  20. That is a great looking Olds Lee.
  21. Welcome to our plastic playground Csaba.
  22. Best of luck to you both Johnny.
